Default FB RX7 5.3 S475 Glide 8.8

Started putting this car together for my father in law. Simple build, gen4 5.3, T4 s475 hot piped for now, 1.80 glide, and 8.8 rear. Going to do some small tubs in the rear and move the 4 link brackets to the inside of the frame rail. Hoping to sump the stock tank and run twin aem 004's, car will be on e85 with deka 80's. Ecu will be a gold box and I've had really good results with the traction control so plan on hooking all that up too. Planning on a 275 radial, 90% street car.

I have the mock up motor mounted and most of the turbo fab done. Stock ls3 fit the drivers side like it was made for it. Made a log for the passenger side, all worked out pretty good, I'm going to put an elbow on the turbo inlet to get clean air form the fender well.

Progress will be a little slow, only get to work on it on the weekends but ill keep the pics coming.

Looks great! Have you looked into the surge tank option? Could run a wimpy intank pump in the factory tank to fill a 3 liter surge with a couple AEM 380's. (or 044's)

Got some more fab knocked out. I like that 044 setup, I'll keep that in mind.

Got some more knocked out, pan notched, pickup tube extended, and got the real motor together. Should be able to stab it this weekend.

Man I don't even want to look at my rx7 after seeing yours!

The non recirculated gates like that with the weight handing off tend to crack alot. May throw a little gusset on top while you have it all clean and easily accessible? Just a thought...wish I would have done it when I built mine.

Keep it coming!

That pic of the engine on the stand looks like the hot side is super close to the silicone coupler of the cold side on the compressor elbow. Are you planning to put a shield or anything in between?
