ive had a 6.0 bend the rods from going lean and hitting the limiter pretty badly. I talked to a few tuners and they said to just move the rpm resume down a good bit so it aint bouncing off the limiter if it hits. So basicly if u was running a 7k limiter have resume at like 6800 or less.
Another fix for me was moving the limiter to around 7400rpm and try and make the shift at 6800.

I know that tune is everything, especially when it come to longevity of the motor and how its performs. I have seen a couple people clam they just dropped the tune in and ran 10's at the track, fresh off the 5.3 turbo build. Also matt(denmah) has talked about it in his videos (guys dropping in the tunes with success ). So my curiosity got me thinking, was this a alternative to a base tune. Mabe give me some time to break the clutch in before spending $600+ on a tune for my ms3 gold box.
