ive had a 6.0 bend the rods from going lean and hitting the limiter pretty badly. I talked to a few tuners and they said to just move the rpm resume down a good bit so it aint bouncing off the limiter if it hits. So basicly if u was running a 7k limiter have resume at like 6800 or less.

Another fix for me was moving the limiter to around 7400rpm and try and make the shift at 6800.

I was thinking this yesterday, in the video it didn't sound like a traditional fuel cut limiter. The engine should not be able to bounce off the limited RPM and maintain boost well- the whole point of an engine saving fuel cut is a complete cut to bring the RPM down momentarily long enough for the driver to realize what happened and make a shift or correction, it should not be used to act like a 2-step, "boost builder" device. That sort of behavior is terrible for parts in general and usually sole ignition based. I think if you wanted to do a burnout in boost you should not be on any kind of limiter- hold the rpm at a reasonable point.

I think he is trying something different with the dyno run files. So people can see a more detailed format.

I started with the ms3 fairmont 5 tune and went from there, good starting point though it started, idled, and drove right off jump street. A little data logging and adjusting to get dialed in.

Also matt(denmah) has talked about it in his videos (guys dropping in the tunes with success ). So my curiosity got me thinking, was this a alternative to a base tune. Mabe give me some time to break the clutch in before spending $600+ on a tune for my ms3 gold box.
Did you end up finding a tune to use? I also have a fresh 5.3 build and I'm looking for a street tune, just to put around. Before dropping my doe on a Dyno tune.
