cant blow the welds if you dont have any..... pure genius :D

rpturbo 04-27-2017 02:11 PM

All of GM's intake are some forum of plastic now, so why not some plumbing PVC. Looks like pure "Hot Rodding"

roastin240 04-27-2017 03:02 PM

ha ha ha ya honestly if its not under boost it would probably work just fine, but doesnt look like it would be much of a performer

Nathaninwa 04-27-2017 03:07 PM

I giggled when I saw this. I build intakes on the side and for clearances and overall fitment I've had this done for me and shipped to me so I could replicate in aluminum

SteenH 04-27-2017 05:17 PM

It would probably handle boost better than an early FAST.. Lol

Properly welded (Glued) PVC would hold more boost than you would ever want to run. Many people put over 125psi to PVC all the time although I would never do it, I've seen what happens when it blows... Not pretty if you're near it.

You paint that wrinkle black and nobody would know it was pvc.

i wonder if they are the extensions used on p traps and such unless they heated them and formed them on a mold.

Could be easily made from a reducer.

You can just heat them up and press anything tapered into the end. We used a ceramic pot to do it and make bellmouths for cold air piping.
