I think the difference in Pass AFR and dr AFR could be a mechanical issue - bad injector maybe.
only running driverside o2 sensor

IAC steps are set by adjusting the throttle blade stop screw. The throttle blade needs to be open at idle until the steps are 3-13.

When you did the set up on the hand held did you set the 02 sensor to 2 sensors or one sensor?

I don't ever recall putting any o2 info in......what ever it was preset at.....where would I find o2 settings at? I ordered the harness to run the 2nd o2 so I'm gonna have to find out one way or another.....I thought IAC was the Lil plunger thing. Wouldn't opening my throttle blade throw off my tps.setting?

I think if you go thru the screens you can select 1 or 2 o2 sensors

Handheld will let you pic. You gotta go through either initial setup or EFI tuning. Prob under fueling after that. I dont remember what the stock tuning in the Fitech handheld was for the 02, but I remember setting it for single driver O2 so it might have been preset to dual.

The IAC is the plunger thing at the top driver side of the TB. (has like a 5 pin connector). That needs to be in the 3-13 step range at HOT FULLY WARMED IDLE. Dont bother adjusting the TB screw till it gets there. Adjusting the TB is to limit air into the engine at idle, which corresponds to your idle RPM and what you set it at. So if you set idle timing to 650rpms, Engine is HOT in park, then you adjust your idle screw so IAC steps are 3-13. If you change the idle RPM in the system you will need to redo the IAC steps as it only correlates to whatever RPM you set it to. Basically the engine will need more air at idle for a higher rpm so the IAC will open more to compensate thus increasing your steps. The issue is you need to get it set correctly when hot, this takes a while if its just sitting.

Dont worry about the TPS sensor, Fitech system resets the base/initial TPS to 0% every time you shut the car down. It is NOT like the stock system which needs it to be at a certain position.

Well I have an update for my harness problem. We swapped another Fitech harness on it and it fired up and ran fine. Contacted Cody at Fitech and he say's to send it in for testing. I guess i'll see what they have to say in a few weeks.

Maybe you damaged it during install?

funny u say that.......anybody know what would make just the back 4 cylinders fire off? My front 4 primAries were no where near as hot as the rear 4.....but I'm getting spark and I can hear the injectors pulsating. ... ******* wierd....no fault codes or anything no back fires seems to be running great for the back 4......explains why iac steps and afr numbers were funky, got a hold of another 70050 ecu plugged it in and boom all 8 are firing and the numbers look great.....what just happened ......now my car is running like a beast......I guess I need to contact summit and have them send a new ecu.........anybody else have these problems??????

If every thing is labeled correctly I don't see how he could have damaged it in the install. .........it's not like it's a your brother in laws car or something ... I would hope some care and effort went into it....

More i think (read) about it, the more Holley is calling. LoL!! It seems to really be hit or miss. Some have great success and others.... Not! Sadly, its those that really buy it for its simplicity (maybe less mech inclined) that seem to end up with the no luck parts.

Oh well.... the HP iss not that much more. But at least Holley has support if anything. With the FiTech if it wasnt for Blackbird, a LOT of FiTech users would still be on the side of the road. Lol!! You boy's should really appreciate this guy's time and involvement. Its certainly not an FiTech "technician" thats going to put a highlight on this guy's help and involvement.

But someone deff should...

Holley hp is nice. But nowhere near in price. I have almost what I paid for the Fitech in harnesses alone for the Holley

Hp is what? 1800$ and fitech is like 895$ i mean, there is a difference but for what you get,.... im about to call it worth it. And thats not taking into account when Holley comes up for sale as they do at Christmas and such.

I hear ya, but for the headaches im hearing and me about to take my decision as i have everything to run the car but the brains.... its really leaning on the Holley, even if i dont have the budget for it! Lol!! (I dont have the budget to buy a system twice even more so...) lol!!

well after going through 28 pages of reading, I pulled the trigger on the 70050 with a added 02 . I am going N/A for now . the guy at LSXeceleration told me the failure rate was only a couple out of the 25x units he has sold. lots of good info on these threads! fingers crossed I get a first fire on a fresh built engine.

Yea I'm just gonna get another Holley system my last one was awesome once I wired it up it was literally 10 minutes and was driving, zero headaches and no issues whatsoever. And I can run whatever injector I want without issue. Yea it may cost more but you get what you pay for top notch quality. And the ones saying Holley tech support sucks obviously haven't been on their forum boards with dedicated sections to the HP, dominator, sniper etc etc. Worth every penny in my opinion but to each his own
