I'm interested as well. Looking at the 70050 kit to replace my modded stock pcm/harness with HPT. Looking for alittle better driveability/starting and I dont have the knowledge to tune the small stuff like some bizzare afterstart lean issue that doesnt change when I edit those tables.

Ive been in contact with them, the 70050 and the 70051 are the same basically, the 70051 has trans control for only the 4l60e/65e/80e. Both come with 1 WB02 and you can purchase another its from a 2003 turbo beetle. Both are programed to sense boost and you can use your MAP of choice (comes with a stock style 1 bar) and it plugs into your stock sensors. Comes with 2 injector harnesses and you have to reuse your stock coil sub harness.

I'm more worried about quality and dependability as i take my car out for over 1-1.5hr drives in 1 direction and dont want to get stranded. Im also using a 2 bar custom OS from HPT and I run 11psi currently so I will need this to work boost right out of the box. I also run EV6 injectors and they said it comes with that harness plus the EV1, but i'm not totally sold that it comes with the Ev6 but I can see the Ev1 in the pics.

Their website still says "Coming Soon". Not sure if it just hasn't been updated or what.

I had gotten contacted by a guy named Kirk at FItech, but it wasn't clear if the trans plug came in the kit or you reused one. There might be a vendor out there who has sold some in use, but I didn't have any luck.

Kirk is also who I have spoken with.

In the picture on there website and other sites show the Trans plug in the harness. I know bc I cut it out of the stock harness for the 4l60E so I know what it looks like.

See attached pics of the 70051 kit with red circles on the trans connector. ITs also important to know it will only work with like 4 transmissions 4l60E, 4l65e, 4l80e, 4l85e if i remember correctly.

Cool, I see that plug-I wonder if you can use the 70051 but not use an elect. trans right away, and it will work, or throw an error-prob has kind of a bare bones as far as trans control, but if it works good enough, a bargain.
A friend of mine just got the whole deal with the intake, etc, but will be a while b4 its running.

From what I understand you can purchase the 70050 and add the trans control option later as well. I'm sure you could disable the trans control as well in the advanced settings. I'm able to disable the trans completely in my stock PCM and run a 2bar HP Custom OS.

Thats the thing... $800 for the non trans control or $1900 for the Holley HP version... at less than 1/2 the price if it works decent then its a good deal.

Tell your buddy to swap that intake... the sheet metal intakes suck ***** and only start to make power at like 7000+rpms. Go with a stock LS intake or Fast or Weiand etc. Stay away from the sheet metals, or typhoon style (chinese crap).

I originally was going to get the whole deal but read what you said about the sheet metal intake being ****.

Yea, its a crazy good deal when you think about it. The intake goes for $500, TB sometimes included but would be another $100, Injectors can be about $300-$500 depending on what you get 36-60lb 500-750hp, Fuel rails $100 etc. That right there is like $1k.

But the intake is Poo, and with boost it would prob pop like they have with the ebay intakes. Intake looks bad *** tho... just doesnt perform and I would rather have ALOT more power under 7k lol.

the Ebay intakes definitely are junk, the earlier versions. At the shop we received 1 and it was dented and then a second to replace it and just sent it back as it was so thin. Now I've noticed that Fitech is stating theirs is 3MM thick. We had another off brand copy cat and can say for sure its thicker and feels heavier. Not saying it's better but did notice it's def thicker.

Ordered May 15th from JEGS 70050, still waiting. Each time I call Fitech "and get thru" they say 3 more weeks. Waiting on a part, I ask them which part they said harness. Then when they do receive they test each unit before shipping. Think I talked to Josh.

Wow.... seriously?!?! I tought these ings were out by the time!!!

I wanted to get one for my set up but still finishing car so i figured id wait and get some people to give their input over it. But its not even out yet!! Im seriously stunned.... i really was under the impression it was out.

I have been looking at the HP too, but like everyone the price is a factor, (especially here for me at 40% exch rate!!) but all you hear form Holley is good so.... and in the long run, all the extra tuning abilities available on the Holley (even if i dont know what to do with them yet lol!!) will come in handy im sure. Im even considering going Dominator.... im trying to spec what i need exactly as far as input/output now as thats what seems to be the hold up from going to one or the other.

Man, if only Holley realized how many people are waiting on this FiTech stuff and decided they wanted to get all those customers and put the HP system at say, i dunno, 1200$... im sure a lot would jump on it!!

Anyway, following up with you guy's!!

Not a personal attack on this but I am not sure why so many people overlook the MS3 gold box (or MS3PRO) that comes in around 1500 with trans control (1700ish for the pro). It literally does everything the dominator does (plus a few bonus extras the dominator should) for less than the price of the HP. It seems like the perfect solution for everyone but hardly anyone seems to know about it.

I believe ease-of-use for people like me who Don't Know Jack about tuning.

Having had 2 Holley HP's, I feel comfortable using it-but, they are kind of pricing me out of the market.
My first HP was $1200 plug and play, the second was $1500, now unless I got a killer deal prob upwards of $1700.
The trouble with Micro whatever is there are so many diff things, and I fear relearning another system, lol-the Holley was cut and dried, order this part # and plug it in. Plus the Yellow Bullet has a great section for help for the Holley system.
Pretty much you end up having more in the controls than the engine, turbo, lol

Do you have the Ms3? If so is it user-friendly?
