Please Help on Fan Choice
I ended up purchasing a Griffin radiator, the 25241 version to do a vertical setup. The aluminum fan shroud for this model from Griffin is cut with 10" diameter holes. Therefore, leaving me with small-sized fans to choose from. Initially, I attempted to reuse my stock fans because they perform so great. But they're too large for the shroud of course. The 10" Spal fans only flow 802 cfm (slim model) each. Is this adequate for our cars? Twin turbos street car, no AC. Trying to figure out before pulling the trigger. I figured everyone in the FI section is doing vertical radiator mod and somebody must've dealt with this.

If you have the clearance behind the shroud, Spal does offer two high performance 10 fan models. But the downside is that they are about 2 inches thicker (front to rear) than the low profile models. And also more expensive and they would draw more amps.
You might check the application details on the high performance fans. Some are for racing only such as the 16 inch high performance extreme model that I also have. It doesn't have a very long life.
Be prepared for noise if you get the straight blade models. The curved blade models are a tad quieter.
If you can enlarge the holes to 11 inches, there are 11 inch spal models that draw about 13 hundred cfm (perfect conditions).
Another option would be to cut your own shroud and stagger (high and low) the holes on the shroud, then you could easily mount two 11 inch or possibly 12 inch fans on the shroud.
If you stagger the holes, orient them according to the flow of the coolant thru the radiator (like the stock fans).
A piece of stainless steel or aluminum for a shroud is less than $20 at most salvage yards that sell overstock metal. You can cut your own holes or hire someone to laser cut the shroud and holes.
Tip: when working with the radiator, tape cardboard on both faces of the radiator to prevent damage to the fins and tubes. Been there didn't do that and ruined a $600 BeCool radiator for my Camaro -knicked a hole in one of the tubes.
History: have had overheating issues on my ATI Procharged D1 1998 Camaro Z28 ever since the D1 was installed. That issue is now a thing of the past after I moved my AC condenser off of the radiator and into the bumper cover.
I am still testing but so far no overheating issues and/or AC cabin temps issues inside the car. See pics.

I run two of the 10" SPAL low profile fans (30100435), they easily keep my twin turbo engine cool. As you stated they are rated lower CFM wise then some other brands but work really well. I only used one at first which worked fine, temps never really got above 185-190. I then added a second one in case I got stuck in traffic or driving in really warm temps and it cools off quick when they kick on.

I'm running a single spal on my twin 76. 427. I made my own shroud. My temps never go over 190. I'm not familiar with the derale fans other than the tiny one on my trans coolers. I tried several others before finding out how much better the spal was. It's thicker and draws more amps because it has way more torque. You will hear the difference when it turns on!

I think you will get much better value from the Spal fans. I have the Extreme 16 puller and one 11 Spal pusher and one 12 Spal pusher. So far no issues with any of them. The important thing to is make sure you have plenty of electrical power when they turn on as that is when they draw the most power (amp hungry on startup).
Spal is what the Nascar crowd uses.
