surely you have an electrical issue somewhere causing that? And if not, put the relay and fuse in an easy to get to location. Would take me 2 minutes to change both my fuse and relay for the pump.

A relay is not necessary for a scavenge pump. Just wire it into the accessory port in the fuse box, it's only live when the key is on. Doesn't really make sense to have it on a switch.

3 years on and I've never blown a fuse or relay. Whilst they do only draw around 5-6A, I would still say to use a relay.
You shouldnt be blowing any fuses no more than your lights should, fuel pump, radio...or any other circuit in the car.

Not on my car it's on a friend f body with a a/c Huron kit, my car has the turbo mounted high enough to not need one, his has worked great for over a year until recently it blowed a fuse, replace it, all was good for a month or 2 then he took a trip and the relay went bad I had to walk him threw the steps on bypassing it, but it will be getting moved up soon he tired of hearing the pump run also
The Exa is very quiet, no chance of hearing it over the engine

I originally used an ebay scavenge pump. Loud as hell and couldnt prime well in the location i needed it. This is on very low mount twin holsets. Swapped to a base turbowerx and much, much quieter, and so far so good
