Sunday afternoon I removed the rear drum brakes:

Used brakes (8 passes) from buddy, the brackets are different that was expected. Am going to Strange today to get ones that work:

Mounted both seats, entailed drilling some holes in the bottoms for the brackets:

Fuel system, not all parts showed up, I"m guessing the rest will show up Monday/Tuesday. screwed a few fittings into the rails, that was about it.

Used a hole saw bit, drilled a hole in the firewall. Might be too small...

I was wondering what those seat brackets looked like so i checked em out (what John?? No pics?? Lol!!). You might have wanted to look up Racecraft... they offer them but they say they are made for Mustangs but fit purrrrfect in my Nova so theyd also fit in a Camaro. They are HALF price those of Rhodes and much more adjustable and also come powder coated. I just installed mine too.

for the hole you did, could you not do in in the removeable panel in the place of the heater? It would show less beeing lower (im always thinking of how its gonna look...and yes it slow’s my build down lol!!) and if you ever wanted to change it you could have just changed the panel w/o harming the car’s body as now you have. a hole to weld if you want to change it..... just thinking outloud.

glad you’re back at it!!

But youre slacking on pics!!! 😉

Haha wow.

Ron Rhodes brackets.

My computer board takes up a lot of room on the other side of the firewall, so I wanted the the hole up high but near the engine. I don't much care about the aesthetics, I'm more focused on going low 8s than winning car show trophies.

Great to see some old timers still on these forums and posting. I don't get on here near enough.

Went to CA for a wedding, have lost some momentum.

Should have all my fuel line parts next couple of days, I had to order some additional fittings. I also have trans lines parts for the cooler coming too.

One thing I'm needing to figure out and order are getting a few sets of rubber washers to minimize vibration and noise from the Weldon 2345a. Looks like McMaster Carr has what I need.

Friend's setup:

LOL at old timers comment...... but it is nice to see original people still at it.

I have my 2345A mounted right in my trunk with a piece of 1/2" pine and a piece of tire tube between the pump and floor. No vibration noises and I think because it's in the sealed trunk it doesn't sound any louder than my old 4303.

FYI, with no other changes I picked up 13psi at idle with this pump before I adjusted the regulator back down to 43psi so it is flowing a lot more fuel!

^^^ Good to hear. Any pics of your pump setup? We were thinking to mount it outside and as low as possible. It was suggested keep the pumps as close to the cell as possible, within 3 feet of it... How is yours set up?

I have pictures at home on my laptop John, I will send some when I get home. Everything is very close to the cell and easily within 3 feet including pre-filter.

A little hard to see with the car all together, but it works great so far. Going to put more boost to it tomorrow and see how it likes it. Let me know if there are anymore pictures/angles/areas you would like to see and I can try and get some.

Thanks for the pics, my 26 gallon cell has a sump for 2 feeds. I am plumbing a Weldon 2345a and a Bosch 044. The latter is for the street and cruising.

Weldon: -12 bulkhead> pre filter > pump > post filter merge to -10 to front and then Y's out to -8.
Bosch 044: -8 bulkhead > pre filter > pump > post filter merge to 10.

I bought a whole cable drive setup from Bob at AEI but when I went to mount everything I have no room left up front for the drive. If I was big single turbo I would be fine, but factory frame and big twins takes up room FAST! Lol. I trailer the car to the track now and only drive about 10 miles each way cruising to the local hangouts so I bought the Weldon as something to get me bye. I might add a second smaller pump at a later date if I decide to stay electric.

Yeah I copied Nathan Shaw's fuel system from last year, had it in a Nova. The Weldon only comes up with some boost.

Can't wait to drive mine!!!!!

To get it running:
  1. Trans lines/ fittings
  2. Mount fuel pumps and finish back half of the fuel lines
  3. Manna stuff will be swap front control arms / swap radiator to new one / plumb wastegates / brake lines
  4. Wiring stuff needs finish
I should have 1 and 2 done by next weekend, all the parts will be here.

Wondering where I should mount my trans cooler, just up front eh?
