Nice to see you try some old metal John. That car looks a LOT like my old one I built back in the late 80's that my buddy tubbed in the early 90's. I am sure there is more than 1 yellow with black stripes 67 Camaro up here in the Northeast though. Lol. Good luck with the build I am sure it will be a sick ride when done!

Thanks I like read about everyone's builds, I learn a lot.
My updates:
5.3 LM7 SBE for now with 799 heads
Turbo kit by Anthony Manna
A2A
E85
TH400 by Caira Automotive
Holley Dominator, will be wired up by P.O.P Wiring (Pete Caira)
Baker Engineering cam
Tuning support from Jonathan Capizzi
I've got almost all the parts needed to drop the engine/trans/converter in, I just need pushrods and lifters.

LOL. I hang around and occasionally help a buddy with a 6 second LS car (Manna), and I would get kicked out by my wife if I spent that kind of money on a car.
Let's just hope for 8.99.... 8.4.... see what happens.

Thanks let's hear about your plans too!
I will get pushrods and lifters buddy has that stuff around.
ETA is September to swap in engine, converter, trans but initially with carb/msd setup and headers so I can keep the car from becoming a roller. At that point the factory wiring for the lights, turn signals, brakes will be redone too.
I'm hoping Dec/Jan to bring it back for turbo build. That would include plumbing in the new fuel system and having Pete @ P.O.P wiring in the Holley Dominator. Have some neat ideas for the wiring that I'll share here and on FB. Want to keep the wiring and computer accessible but not have it on the floor since I will have a passenger seat in the car.

Yeah thinking about how to make the wiring even more plug'n play. Probably will add a mil spec bulkhead connector so that can be unplugged and the motor comes right out.

I'm still buying parts.
I'm a little lost on the fuel system, I want something streetable that won't burn up the (fuel) pump. Suggested to me to run twin Magnafuel 4303s. Pretty pricey.

How much power are you planning on? 4303’s are great, but you don’t need one on constant duty IMO. A simple AEM380 in parallel with the 4303 will support a lot of power. On E85, I’d guess 1400-1500ish whp depending on the fuel system.
That said... at typical FI pressures 2 AEM380’s in parallel out flow a 4303. At $150 a pump, 3 AEM380’s are hard to beat. (they go on sale a lot too) Cruise around on 1. Have the other 2 come on in boost. You can use the cheap Ebay 044 pump fittings to run then in twin configurations.

I'm not sure what power level it would take to run 7.99@175 @ 3100 raceweight....
1200HP?
I'm running a fuel cell forcefed, is that that you run? Any pics of your setup?

More like 1300-1400... I'd guess. I run a single 4303 with a boost-a-pump on the rx-7. Around 900-950whp I'd guess and it's fine.
Run a single AEM380 on the mustang. It was dropping pressure around 500 at 13.4v.
I will say make sure you run a decent alternator. my 4303 was having trouble keeping up when the voltage was dropping due to amp demand. I'd look at 160+ at least depending on your electrical needs.
