Got my first 10 second pass last night at the Test n Tune...

Sounds like you have a real beast Jon!
At what RPM and cyl air mass did you find peak torque with your setup?

you will gain power/tq with a cutout. I have a dual 2.5" exhaust after my 3" DP... and with twin cutouts on the 2.5" pipes I gained 40+rwhp/70+rwtq @ 13psi.
Also, I typically see peak tq timing a few degrees lower than peak hp timing. I ran 12 deg @ pk tq and 15 deg @ pk hp on 93 + meth... I made 817rwhp/758rwtq @16psi with a slipping clutch (stock LS3 bottom and 7675). I'd be interested to see how you hp/tq change with some timing changes... if you get an opportunity to get to the dyno.

for reference, I made 703rwhp @ 5200-5400rpm and 762rwtq @ 4300rpm at 16psi last year.
over the winter I made 3 big changes (other than a new clutch)
1) moved the wastegate dump from dp to atmosphere
2) removed air filter for a screen
3) added cutouts
i re dyno'd at 16psi and made 817rwhp @ 5700rpm (and still climbing) and 758rwtq @~5000rpm (clutch was slipping and recatching past peak tq).

If you are not seeing any knock at peak torque I would ramp up the timing to 19 - 20* up top. I think with E85 you are leaving a lot on the table ramping the timing down. I haven't been to the track yet to test but I run approx E50 (mixing 50% 93 and %50 E85) with 17* timing as of now. Track testing and spark plug checking will let me know if I can add from there.
Edit: With peak torque at 5000 and 17.5* of timing you can definitely ramp up to 20* IMO.

thanks Dave! If I can keep her from going thru plug wires I'd be happy. I'll have too look thi my logs to check cyl airmass.

Congrats on breaking into the 10s!
I also drive my car to the track and race but always take out the additional crap out that I dont need. It makes you faster and heaven forbid you crash there won't be any additional projectiles in the car with you. Getting a wrench to your arms, neck, back of your helmet etc at 100+mpg could ruin more than your day.
Have fun and be safe!

Point taken.
I'm usually solo and, not having an additional car to store those items, I'm reluctant to leave all my stuff in my slot at the track. With hundreds of people milling around, I fear it would be too tempting for some of the less than honorable folks.
I should get a lockable tub that I could ferry to/from the track along with a chain and lock so I could secure it to a nearby fence.

I'm almost always solo as well and usually just ask a track official for a safe place to put my stuff. I haven't had an issue yet.

I drove it down the freeway with the turndown on it, slowing down to 35 when no traffic was around and then flooring it to 120+. It 'seems' like it's running better with less backpressure, but that could just be me wishing for it to be so... For certain, it was too loud and after I came back to the shop, I took off the turndown and reconnected the Borla.

airmass should have gone up (as you can see from my numbers). I logged ~20% increase in cylinder mass readings on the street before the dyno... I went from 703rwhp to 817rwhp (would have been higher if clutch held). Even with issue, I gained 16% power on the dyno.
