That is the only way I could make it fit. It has no room to move in any direction.

Current status. Pulled the interior to make the cage a 10 point. Decided I am going to redo the chassis harness. Likely going to get a cheap universal fuse box and wire everything up. Just need lights, wipers and blower motor on the body side.

Got the 8 point cage done. Was planning to add a couple bars that tie into the upper torque boxes, but I really want to keep the back seat. I ordered a universal fuse box/wiring kit to try and clean up the factory chassis harness, should work out pretty well I think.

Unlike the mains and rod bolts they are a true TTY fastener. By the book they stretch when torqued to spec and shouldn’t be reused. At least they won’t provide the same clamping load as a new set would when torqued to spec. Whether the amount of clamping load a used set provides is still enough for the power being made is another story. We know Matt Happle made like 1200whp on a reused set with no apparent leaks or issues. I don’t claim to know either way.

Got some of the wiring tackled over the weekend and started on the exhaust. I was planning to have a vacuum closed cut out but I ordered on that was boost closed, so I modified it to make it a boost opened unit. Need to get some more tube and a muffler.

This is about how its oriented in the car.

The smaller pipe will go to the rear of the car with a muffler and be the primary path of the exhaust under normal driving conditions. Once he goes WOT the cutout will open on the larger pipe and exhaust will exit there.

I was thinking you could make the valve go from blow to suck

i went back up and saw you said you were gonna run 2.5" out the back but when i saw the pic the pipe looks so small compared to the downpipe i was thinking it was like 1.5" for a wastegate or something
