Man I dunno that gear seems about perfect. Still on 255's? I’d almost think you could slap a china short runner intake on it, shift at 7500 and run it out the top. Should do 162ish at 7500 @ 5% slip. Then I’d know what to do next on mine if that worked well!

This is on a 28x9 Pro Bracket Radial. The china intake idea has crossed my mind.

Ah gotcha... so that’s slipping a decent amount then? Like 10ish %? Is that the 10” PTC deal? Better converter might help quite a bit. Prob tighten up a tad with more RPM? Might try hygard or similar fluids if you dont’ already run them?

I feel like my 10” is holding me back on the mustang a bit. Cruise is def. more slippy than my 9.5” PTC on the RX7. I cruise around 400-500 rpm more at like speeds in the mustang. RX7 has a slightly shorter gear/tire ratio too.

I've got a driveshaft speed sensor. Slip was right around 8%. This is a Circle D unit.

Edit: Going off the time stamp in the data log, at 9.2s into the run (the 151.45mph pass) the slip was 8%. But when I actually let off it was about 5.5%. So it likes revs.

Oh man, Makes me think my LS6 intake with the Stage 3 isn't really going to be the best......

Have not weighted the car yet. I'm guessing its around 3150lbs fully loaded.

I've got a 2.5 gallon jug of Hydard at the house. Just has some synthetic ATF in it now.

Update - car is doing well. Made a bunch of passes this year so far and over 2000 street miles. Have been playing with the suspension a ton. Car has been in the low 1.30 60' range recently, still would like it to be better. Swapped out to a Pro Flow intake instead of the LS1.

It went 8.90 @ 154 back in June. A couple weeks ago I did soem 1/8 mile testing and went 5.63 @ 127 on 24psi. Still need to weigh the car, guessing around 3200lbs race weight.

Very cool! What are you revving it out to these days? 2-step RPM and boost level at launch?

Been leaving about 4000rpm. Boost from 7-10psi. I just put a shift light the car, still playing with that. But I've been shifting around 7500 and it seems happy. Just went out the the track last night. This was my first time getting good 1/4 mile data on the intake swap. It picked up about 3mph on the same boost/timing over the LS1 intake.

DA was about 2500', been raining for a week straight up here. Crossed the stripe around 7400, coverter slip around 6%. 25-26psi/14*.

I've been really happy with this Circle D. This is the 3rd season on it now and its not showed signs of holding me back yet. Its likes the RPM, slip just gets lower and lower the more I rev it. I bet it would be different if I had a 3.08 gear or something like that.

Another thing to note is that I am still using a stock truck throttle body on the Pro Flow.

Here is the RPM and converter slip trace. I have a speed sensor on the driveshaft to compare to engine speed.

This thing is moving out. It's awesome to see a SVO getting love. Congratulations on the pass. Still rocking the btr stage 2 TT cam? This build is inspirational for me as a 4.8 turbo guy. You've gained another subscriber keep up the bad *** work.
