4.8 with twin gt35's I'm doing a low buck build for a light weight fox body. I have a 2003 4.8 with ls6 cam, ls9 head gaskets, studs, pac springs and a edelbrock pro flow. I'm looking at a pair of gt35's with .84 turbine housings. Are these housings too big? Will be on e85 with a powerglide. Thanks |
They will get the job done. |
I am worried about it being lazy down low. |
They won't be. I ran twin 7268's on my 4.8 and ran the times in my signature. They were pretty lazy on the street but worked decent at the track. The GT35's should light right up. I cut a 1.34 60' in a 3325lb foxbody leaving on 7-8psi. |
Remember pre 2004.5 rods beyond about 600rwhp are on borrowed time and will bend eventually. I got a ride in a twin turbo 5.4 Ford GT with GT35r's and they truly spooled up almost too quickly. The car wasn't very driveable on the street. |
