Well, didn’t make the progress I wanted too, wound up having to work today. But I got the rear end full of fluid and ready to go under, and the filter and seals changed in the 80e, I’m ready to get this stuff put in! When I changed the pinion seal I noticed someone had been thru the diff before, and it has solid shims instead of a crush sleeve. Winning. Need to look at some pictures and see where I’ll have to cut that support in the tunnel for the wiring plug.

Got the rear in the car! Fits perfect! Absolutely in love with the wheel/lip combo on this car!

I have a big desire to slam it, but I don’t think that’s a good idea lol.

Did some playing around with my 07 hd, 80e all stock minus I tuned it. I could get 2400 rpm easy holding the brake and mashing it, gives me hope on this car. If I can hold the rears from spinning, I might be able to get some boost out of this turd before I launch.

I did go ahead and order a viair 92c compressor, I’ll be building my own 1gallon tank and run it on a pressure switch. Been wanting to try out the higher end features of these controllers

Wheel fitment looks about **** to me. Are you gonna throw some studs in those tires for winter driving? It's barely gotten above single digits around my part for a week now, no end in sight. Hope you got some good shop heat.

Might have too haha! Yea it’s been cold as hell here too, 3 days in a row we never got over 0, high of like -2 lol. With windchill it was like -30 or -40. I have a woodburner that I run and drip oil into, running full bore it will keep it around 55 degrees at 0 outside, so I’m not complaining. Also, thanks on the wheel figment! Very happy! I got lucky though, my lcab I made are maybe a 1/4 from the wheel/tire, I never even thought of that. So thank god for that lol.

So I’m thinking about cutting out the license plate area. If I do, I’d like to stencils on a trans am bird, or WS6 into it. What do you guys think about that? Would it look gaudy?

Repinned thd trans connector, added the second vss, and cut the ears off. Put her in! It’s al tight as heck but fits!! Time to build a crossmember and a tq arm.

The harness for the trans seems to be short, anyone else have this?? Pulled a little bit it wasn’t giving up lol.

Made my catchcan haha. 2” sch40 pvc pipe and cap, 3/4x1/2npt Plex fittings, tecumsuh mower filter. I’ve got about $20 into it. Inside is stuffed full of stainless wire wool.

X member made, pretty proud of this receiver hitch bent masterpiece lol. It’s 1.25 .120 wall tube, just getting started on the tq arm and mount now. Getting closer!!

It’s ghetto . I have a 5 gallon bucket I hung on the wall
And ran a ball valve out of the bottom, then ran a copper line over to the burner and drips in the top. It’s a deka forced air wood furnace I bought off FB for $300. I’ll grab some pictures tomorrow. It’s really nice, I change oil I just walk over and dump it in the bucket and burn it.

Yeah the stock trans harness isnt gonna want to reach the 4l80e plug easily. When i bought my Nelson harness it was about 4 to 6 inches total which make it way more comfortable to plug in because while it switches the pins for you it serves as an extension as well.

I e alr day repinned my stock plug, not a big deal to put it back. But looking at those prices, I think I’ll just cut off a plugfrom a donor vehehicle with a couple extra feet of wire and solder the connections. The wires are shitty on mynllug where they go into the plug, super soft coating from years of oil soaking.
