You guys got it made for room in these 3rd gens. You would not believe what we are up against in my 1st gen s484 build....your progress is lookn good

Ok, so long story short. I need to build a stronger engine lol. I know the lower compression the better. What is a good piston for boost? Should I do rods and crank forged as well. Most boost I made was 10psi. So that will be my max.

I still say go lsx.....the money you spend making a stock block sbc stand up to power you are gonna have a ton of $$ into it. proven fact ton of guys running JY 4.8/5.3 and making big hp.....its the very same reason I switch from sbc to ls.
the money you spend on sbc parts could more than buy you a Holley hp set up and a jy motor.
I gonna be starting my 2nd turbo build on my 56 chevy in a few weeks and I just sold off a almost new 383 to get a jy 5.3 turbo set up for it
