67 Chevelle twin turbo winter revamp and car history

Suspension is my next biggest challenge as it's not fully sorted. I made several changes tonight and I gained another 1" of travel out of the rear. Turned out I also had 5deg pinion angle, so I reduced it to 3. Also slowed the ext on both front and rear shocks. Tightened up the front limiters a bit.
Tons of changes, but that's me
Weather looks iffy for our big race this weekend. My main goal at this point it to run in the 7's. It's all about the first 150' at this point.

Droop is a measurement of total upward suspension travel.
From ride height to just where the front tire comes off the ground.
Measure it from a point on the fender in line with the spindle. Take a measurement at ride height, jack the car up and repeat the measurement.
Then repeat with the shock off the car to make sure the shocks aren’t limiting the travel.

I had one company build the short block and another do the heads ( All parts did wind up at the engine build for assembly and dyno break in). Even though there was communication between the two, somehow combustion chamber CC was off. Lesson learned, go to one source for a build so there can be better accountability and communication. It eliminates pointing fingers.

Was able to make it back out yesterday. Had made some good changes to the suspension, mostly slowing everything down. The track was good the first pass, but I was too lazy on my leave. Left at 3700 and about 4lbs, and the ramp was a bit slow, so it killed my 60'. Still though, a big jump forward, but damn did I want my 7 second pass baaaaad. Car spun the rest of the day, so I'm still fighting serious inconsistency issues

To me it looks like the suspension is damn near spot on! Maybe a tinge more preload in the right rear as it looks like the car is driving right. You can see the front and rear come up together and the front stays up with the power application. Rear tire comes down initially and stays there. Doesn’t bounce back up into the wheel well. Awesome. Nice work, nice car and nice ETs.

This was last pass of the day going for the number. I had the leave set really soft, and I think it hurt me worse then if I would have put it on kill. 3400 and about 3lbs leave and I was dumping timing at this point through 1.7 seconds. It just didn't like it.

I agree with 3 window. You need to adjust your ARB with you sitting in the car at race weight. Suspension looked good on the 8.0 pass. The rear didn’t separate at all on the last pass with the softer hit. You just need to get the preload adjusted to make her go straight and hit it harder out of the hole.
Keep the updates coming.

I love this thing! Very nice build!
Car is going to be an animal once sorted out!
looks to me like the rear suspension could use slightly stiffer rebound(extension) damping, along with hitting it with more boost on the line.
and if those scale corner weights are still accurate, I would add some preload to the pass rear spring(not arb) to get its corner weight equal to the drivers side, if not a touch heavier

Thanks everyone, and Ron for taking some good video this year to help me see whats going on. It's been exiting how quickly the car has come around so far. Power management and suspension is such a huge learning curve with a heavy small tire car and making changes as the track changes, man, it's tough.
For these last set of videos, I know for sure my rear shocks are not topping out and my arb is not going to full extension. I'm basing this on the last adjustment I made and letting the rear fully extend.
Here is what it looks like maxed out. I don't think I'm seeing this in the video.

Went to Seattle (Pacific Raceways) for some grudge racing. The track prep was nice, I have to give most of the credit to prep and not the minor adjustments I made.
I turned the leave back up to 3800, and after looking at my logs today, it was leaving on 7lbs. I have no idea if it would have taken more, I didn't play with the leave at all, I didn't have much time between rounds and was afraid to screw up how well the car was working.
Some video should pop up and I'll post those if I can. While I have always been hopeful of a sub 1.3 60', I figured the weight of the car would hold me back, so I was shocked it did what it did.
