Newbie with questions on 7.4 Vortec Supercharger Build
Hi,
I just joined and have some questions, maybe some of you can answer them or point me in the right direction. There is really no info online for what I am trying to do.
I have a 1997 Chevy 3500 Dually Crew Cab that has the 454 7.4 Vortec in it. I have purchased a used supercharger kit off eBay and am trying to figure out how to set it up. I have attached a picture of what I got in the kit. It basically only has the supercharger, a mounting bracket, some oil hoses, and some tubing to plumb to the air intake.
The person I bought the kit from said that I will have to get larger injector and have the truck tuned. He said I need 42# injectors. I heard that injectors for a late 90's Ls1 will work? Do any of you know?
Thanks

I personally javent done it but years ago i saw a guy using ls1 injectors said they dropped right in. so the tall ev1 deka 80 should work. Sorry for no personal info but he did have a pretty long thread on chevyfullsize.

I found these on ebay. Are these what you are talking about? Is this a good price? The reason I am trying to find out as much as I can is that I live out in the middle of nowhere and I need to get as much stuff figured out before I load up everything and head for a performance shop for install and dyno tuning.
Thanks
