Default People running F1a-94 with aster bracket in F-body

So i am thinking of going FI with my 434 and ould ike to use this blower. Are there alot of people running this combo? I was only able to find one person running this and it seemed he had a decent amount of trouble making it fit.

The F-1A fits a little easier than the F-1C and F-1R, and quite a few people have run them with this combination. Like the F-1C and F-1R, the F-1A-94 has a 4.0" inlet, instead of the 3.75" inlet that is found on the F-1A and smaller blowers. The 3.75" opening on the truck inlet hat can be enlarged to a 4.0" opening with the use of a heat gun an either a tailpipe expander or a piece of 4" tubing with the end of it narrowed down. I had one customer who took a piece of 4" pipe, cut slits in the end of it to bring it in a little, then shoved the truck hat over it and started heating up the truck hat. Once he got the hat heated up he worked it down the pipe. Bob

Ive only seen one thread with pictures of a person running this combo and he said he had to move his radiator support forward a number of inches to get it to work

I think that's the bigger question. Fitting the intake hat is easy. Having to hack up the car to make it fit is another whole issue.

Can the F1-x fit with the aster setup? Not opposed to moving the radiator or cutting the support.
