So far man I am absolutely thrilled with these turbos. The only thing I could say let me down is I was hoping the sister would be stupid loud like my billet 78/75 was, but thatís okay. Aside from the drag pack this thing is a sleeper, it literally sounds and drives like a stock *** trans am. Iím curious to see what I get for mileage haha

Sounds like a blast! I was kind of hoping mine would be loud too, but oh well. You have open downpipes? I’d like to know what your mpg is too, probably not terrible if you can keep your foot out of it lol. Was the billet 78/75 what you ran 6.9 in the 1/8 with?

yea open down pipes, come out right in front of the front tires. When I built my other car, it was my first boosted setup. I cheated out on the map and bought a $15 eBay piece of crap. I went out to Colorado and made one pass on 12# and it went [email protected] and that pos map blew up about 10í from the stripe. I didnít leave in boost either, my 60í was 1.8, and the da was 5500-6000. It had a lot more potential to go faster, I just never got the chance to try again.

That was still a good looking pass, and to think you feel like your combo now is stronger. I can’t stop thinking about getting mine together after seeing your video lol. I thought about running small bullet “mufflers” like the 5” long Vibrant or 5.5” long Dynomax just to try and tone down that tuck motor sound my 5.3 is going make. Shouldn’t rob horsepower much and will still be loud. I miss the sound of my LS1. I’ll need a good map sensor, which one do you have now?

thanks man, like I said I am very pleased. I have the zr1 gm map. Like $35 online. This thing definitely has the pickup truck idle, I also would like to get rid of that

I trapped 130mph on barely 10lbs of boost in the 1/4 on my old S475 set-up. It was blowing through the converter & pegging the rev limiter before the traps. Ive since switched to the same GT3582's as Cwarta except mine are cast wheels & a new PTC converter. On 9.5lbs, the car gets into boost fast & seems stouter than the single set up. Im running a forged ls1 with a isky 218 cam & the car is stupid loud with 3" bumper exits. I ordered the mini bullets & got one side done, then ran out of wire on the other. Ive been to lazy to go grab another roll to finish it up, lol. I think the .82's would get you into the 9's easily

I'll have to order one of those map sensors. Are they 2bar, 3bar? Wonder if an x-pipe or h-pipe would help with the pickup truck sound?

That's cool, 130mph sounds strong. Glad to hear your twin gt35 feel stronger, gives me more hope even though mine is a SBE 5.3 lol. When you get the other mini bullet welded on, post up a video of how it sounds. From the comments I'm seeing, I think the .82s would would get me there too. But I emailed VS racing yesterday to confirm about the t3 1.06 a/r over the .82 a/r and he said the 1.06 would be better for my goal. He knows better than me so I'm going to try them out. Guess I'll be the guinea pig for the 1.06s lol. If I don't like the larger a/r then I'll sell them and buy some .82s.

Cool deal. If it’s working good for you, I’ll have to order me one.

no traxk resukts, last day got rained out. I had it to the dyno and made 600whp. But after I loaded the car I noticed half my tires splattered on the bottom of the car, and it had a miss. Took it home and drive it, ran about like before I took it. Swapped coil packs and now it boils the prepped hooseriers from an 80 roll that it held at a 40 roll same boost level before the coil packs. Have another dyno day in a few weeks, Iíll report back

Interested in the results. Got a pair of vs cast T3 61/62s Journals in .82 AR arriving Monday. Gona go on a stock 03 5.3 with 709 heads and a 6.0 LQ9 cam swap. Collecting parts for a 33 truck coupe kit car (like 2500lbs total lol) going speed engineering forward facing up headers, T3 adapters And 3Ē dumps and eBay 38mm WGs. Not planning on more than low teens boost probs. Hoping they light quick! Let us hear how they sound I would love some whine like my cast VS78/75 or the billet VS 78/75 that Iím sure will be close to that.

These T3s are large? Judging by that pic while back they look huge, I was hoping they would be small and
compact.

The t3 diesel housings are large, thats what was on the rev9 72/68s pictured. Their .8x ar ratings are also BS. Sellers don't even know what "AR" stands for. They just copy other ADs. The .82 t3 on the gt35s is small.

Update for future people, made 680whp today on 19# @5500 and 10.0 afr, never got to make a full pull due to ripping a wastegate again. I think thinwould have peaked low 700’s on this pull.

19#, 14*, 2# Gate springs with 23# of dome pressure.

Mine ate the gt3582 billet wheel with 61/64 and .82 ar, T3.
