Cool build, I had a ton of tri 5 chevys, several were boosted-always wanted another to
do an LS/turbo build, but they have pretty much gone crazy price wise, unless I get a
rusted out shell to start with. But I always keep my eye out, lol

also got my holley pan the other day and managed to drill and tap for turbo oil drain.
i was happy to be able to do this as i have a mast oil pan on my nova and it was much thinner and i had to weld it in. holley was significantly thicker...

well little update.... this week i got the block and heads back, i had .005 taken off the heads just to clean it up a bit, and new cam bearings installed. then i went scrubbed the crap out of this crusty old thing..... busted *** and got the short block together earlier this week.
i checked all the ring gaps and all the top rings were .019-.022 most being .019. I opened them up to .024-.025 ish... the bottom rings were all at .027-.028 i left those as is .
and tossed in the china head studs....

Purge hole I usually hammer the iat sensor in, a sloppymechanics ritual. But you could tap it and plug it. Never tried but there's prob a pipe size close enough to work, or just a bolt LOL.

Will usually end up using all the vacuum ports plus some. Brake booster, fpr, trans modulator, bov, map sensor etc

edit- the barb right below the purge valve hole is not vacuum. It is normally the fresh (clean) side of the pcv system. I just throw a vacuum cap on and a hose clamp.

Nice build, I like it! I'm getting ready to do something similar in a 52' Chevy Styleline.
