Ive been wanting to drive the car for awhile now, its been sitting in the shop since November after the turkey run.
i didnt want to dig it out of its resting place because quite honestly its always a pain in the ass to get it out with my buddies projects going on at the shop,
and i dont mean mine.....if you pick up what Im puttin down...... A buddy of mine told me he was going out to the track and I began considering just driving the car out there(bout 30 mins from my house) also i thought "now there is a least a reason to shimmy the car out . And about 2hrs later of moving crap and cleaning the dust off the car she emerged!

Then the pondering began......... i mean, if Im driving out there anyways..... ya know it couldnt hurt just to try it once...... hell no., i dont even want to chance it, actually F#ck NO!
So pull right into the the staging lanes and get an arm band. yup, i did it.
3 passes later....... im happy to report all is well, drove out there, made the runs, not a hickup of any kind, drove back home, and only burned 4 gals of fuel lol!
so here are my slips, my first run i literally rolled off start line and eased into it before i matted it, the second run i brake boosted it about 2k, no real pull on the brakes, and no tire spin, then laid into it pretty hard, 3rd pass, i brake boosted to about 25/26ish and had a little tire spin and then laid into it as they stopped. i just put the car in drive and let it do its thing. Rear tires are 315/20's lexani, cheapies.
i am no drag racer,(actually only second time i bothered to take a car out there) just a guy who is normally doing burnouts everywhere.

good to see the big old girl making runs.with some slicks it has the mph for 11.0s .

forcd ind 01-11-2019 05:59 AM

Def 11:0's if it hooked, pretty cool. My buddy works on the starting line there.

Bad Apache 01-11-2019 08:16 AM

That’s a nice little track. I’ve been a few times while on vacation. I wonder what she weighs?

quite honestly i looked at no gauges any of the passes, was paranoid about feeling the car out and how it would go down the track
happy to report it was uneventful ,no wobbles/bobbles, and was completely straight.
but to answer your question, 17lbs is what its set at

before i backhalfed added the air suspension and changed the seats, it was 48xx. so many variables with so many changes, but i imagine in that neighborhood still.

Nice results. It will only get quicker from here on.

Just think...you only weigh a bit more than a loaded Dodge Challenger.

I'm sure it's hidden somewhere in your build thread, but what cam are you running in that caddy?

Game ova 01-11-2019 05:30 PM

Nice passes, but I could have sworn you lived here in Louisville. And are you serious about brake boosting 25psi??

I do travel alot for work, but I do live in Sarasota fl.
I'm sorry, should have clarified, I ment rpm's
I'm only running a max of 17lbs , with no boost being built at the line.

however I'm not at all against turning it up to 25psi........

Very cool. Looks like you already have a bunch of good parts in the car from your sig so no reason not to have some fun racing it!

thanks! And your right, somthing like this is the very reason I chose the parts I did.

slocaddy 01-12-2019 03:07 PM

And I took it to the scale today, with me in it, half tank of fuel and some crap in the glovebox that's been accumulating for as long as I've owned the car, the grand total is 4780. Future plans call for a/c, some stereo equipment and carpet.

GMTECH4 01-12-2019 05:16 PM

what rods/pistons are you running? my dad has the same car, that's a nice ride and its fast to be so heavy
