Default JUNKYARD DOG ! get's let off the chain

Well its been awhile since ive posted anything on here but life has its twists and turns.

My junkyard motor finally gets its turbo and straight diet of methanol, quick rundown 5.3 s475, ljms cam, btr spings ,
2 speed with a brake,9" 4;11, 235 60 M/T radial, 8.50 cage.

First a big thanks to my Bro for his help, this was a turbo build that was a long time coming and all made in my garage.

Thanks also to Matt Happel for his base tune it really helped get thing going (dudes a true legend)

Serious air to air cooling. Keeping it as basic and effective as possible. I want to see some video of it rolling out. Great job.

This made for burnouts only? 4.11s on a 235 tire isn't going to be good for anything.

Depends on the car setup, I've seen guys run 3.9, 4.1 and even 4.56's in X235 and run 4 sec 1/8's.

In x235 you normally see a bunch of LS and mod motor stuff. The guys with big money typically run higher classes and 3 second 1/8ths.

Reason I ask is, to run that kind of time with a turbo setup, that motor has got to be BUZZING. Talking rotary/motorcycle like revs.

Maybe for people that are used to losing out on power by shifting early but not much higher then we typically run our street engines. 4.11's, glide and 26's will get you a 140MPH 1/8th near 8000RPM with a good converter.

Granted I have no idea what the OP's goal is, but running methanol I figured he'd be leaning on it pretty hard. Either way its a cool setup.

Gotcha, so racecar setups. But yea, ops ride looks wicked with the induction device sticking out of the hood.

The rear gear is what was in the car from when i bought it as a roller, previus owener had a SBF on Nitrous that went 9.7 i think.
I will be changing them out to a 3.7:1 most likely after we run it and see were we are at.
