Default Msd/lnc 2steps whos used both ? Comparison needed TRYING TO BUILD MORE BOOST

So, i've now heard from more than one person that the lingenfelter 2 step helps to build more boost than the msd unit. I don't know why exactly, so i came here for opinions. Hopefully a few of you have worked with both brands and can give me an honest & educated answer. I already have the msd unit and am not building any boost on the footbrake ( no transbrake ) wondering if switching might help. My setup is 93 z28, lt1 brakes, 5.3, vs racing 7875, sloppy stage 2 cam, ptc 3400/3600 stall, th 400, 3:27 gear, 2step is set at 3200 anything more than that i push through the brakes. I also installed an adjustable proportioning valve with alot of rear bias. Other tips or tricks to build boost on the footbrake would be great as well, its just that the statement about the 2 steps got me thinking. Thanks in advance

Does the MSD retard timing or just act as a 2 step rev limiter? The LPE would easily build boost on my M6 because it retarded timing by however much I set it for.
