Default milled/ported 243's (59cc) or stock 853's for boost

Unfortunately blew my NA motor and have decided to go the budget turbo route for my 2000 ss. I'll be running a 5.3l and a 80-90mm turbo with ~15lbs of boost w/ the stock 5.3l dished pistons. Using the 243's would put my CR ~9.7 which is not alarming for boost applications, but I'm concerned that using these heads under boost will be prone to pushing water due to having a thinner deck The alternative would be to use my stock 853 castings (no notch) or POTENTIALLY trading the heads for something that better fits my application. Thoughts?

that's really what i wanted to hear. any opposing opinions out there or should i just stud the 243's, get an efficient turbo, keep timing conservative, and keep it below 20lbs?

Use the 243's since you have them. They're better, but depending on power goals the heads don't really matter.

How much power do you want to make?
Also, what fuel will you be running?
