Question on a hot side manifold choice on a single turbo set up

I've been browsing the web for a couple weeks now and mostly came across two brands that catch my eye; the Hooker Ls kit and the Trick manifold. I like the fact that the trick manifold has the flange and the waste gate whole all-in-one, but I don't like the fact that it's only a 46 mm opening. So for the Hooker header kit I like the design and the option to change out the mounting flange for different turbochargers, but I don't like the fact there is limited coverage to the adapter piece, which I can only find at the Steve Morris website for $500 which is grossly overpriced. I'm also concerned with that design and the strength of the bracket and its ability to hold of the weight of the Turbo charger. It appeares the Trick manifold seems more durable. Is there a valid way to formulate the Turbo charger you're intrested in, to the diameter the waste gate flange should be. I would be interested to kn if my Turbo charger that I'm using wood work with the 46 mm hole or do I need to go larger for my turbo charger, which is the Borg Warner AirWerks S475 S400SX4 Turbo 75/88 1.32 A/R T6 Twin Scrol.

Any information You could vide on helping me make a decision would greatly be appreciated.

You didnt give any info on the vehicle, engine or even your goals.

Do you mean 46mm wastegate?

A larger wastegate doesn't let you make more power.

im confused on what you are asking.

you could just weld another wg flange for what ever your planning on running even though 46mm wg is pretty good imo.

or you could fab your own?>

Im not sure the trick manifold comes in a t6 variant. I know about the t4.

What about a KBracing manifold?

Thanks for the suggestion. I was just basing it off prior history which was my old shelby z (4 cylinder). I had bottle necking issues with my exhaust with a 48mm opening and would cavitat the exhaust in turbo. Once I went to a 54mm the turbo was better off and spooled quicker and held it self well at higher rpm.

A 44m wastegate seems to work well on my car. I think there’s more to it than just a wasgate size. You have to take into account the wastegate itself. I’ve seen some that have a large bore for the valve but because they are compact and the stroke of the valve is limited, it doesn’t open up large enough to utilize the whole bore size.

My waste gate gate is in the path of the exhaust right before the turbo. The exhaust hits the valve straight on so it controls it well. So consider the capability of your valve and placement. Not just hole size.

Trick will put any size wastegate flange you want on their t6 manifold, shoot him an email. I have the t6 manifold/s480 with 46mm waste gate, he angled it up away from the strut tower for me.

Do you have a picture?

best pictures I've got on my phone at the moment...this is in a 2012 yukon though, the wg is brought up with sch10 stainless I believe

But does it control boost? Probably just fine.
