Texas Mile Boosted Z06's The March 2019 The Texas Mile was a lot of fun. The staff kept the cars moving all weekend, it was a great time. It was awesome catching up with friends/customers. We took two C6 Z06's with Arrow Machine built motors than performed perfect. Marks Z06 (car 427) was limited to under 215mph by tech so we trying to stay under. 213.8 mph for a street car you can drive anywhere is really cool. Bobby's Z06 (car 120) ran good all weekend, just a couple mph short of a new best. https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/ls1tech...3c730f1705.jpg https://cimg8.ibsrv.net/gimg/ls1tech...468b92c55c.jpg https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/ls1tech...db5be53625.jpg https://cimg4.ibsrv.net/gimg/ls1tech...006925591a.jpg |
Curious...what tires were used? |
Ted's Red C6 was rolling the hell out too. 217.5 Don't know if he improved beyond that but some serious LS family representation |

Toyo 888s are very popular if you can find the size you need. |

Technically the R888R have a higher speed rating then the Hoosier R7. R888R have a (Y) (186+MPH) speed rating and Hoosier has a W (168MPH).

The Y and W and other ratings have nothing to do with how fast the tire can safely go......its just what it was tested to. They can all go much faster. The Agera RS uses a factory Y (186mph) rated Michelin.....but runs 250+ mph. W = 168 Y = 186 (Y) = 186+ Hence why I didnt say Y I said (Y) exactly like I said that its rated higher for 186+ MPH. If you look at the Agera RS Michelin its rated for (Y). |
