The last set of ET Street SS tire I got, one was junk. Jegs and MT took care of me, but it was still a pain in the ***. I watched the tire tech spin it on the balancer and one tire had wobble and bobble(?). It called for 3.75 ounces to balance. I said, no way.

My et streets took a lot of weight as well. I used stick on type inside the wheel. Ran smooth, never lost a weight. What worked for me hooking an et street on asphalt is no burnout at all. You simply drive around fro 30 mins or so and then they hook like crazy! I was out digging the local GTR crowd with ease dumping my clutch at 7K with the et streets on regular asphalt. Broke plenty of parts...
I run Nitto 555r now and they run a lot more like a regular car radial. Very little weight to balance up, stronger sidewall for cornering and hook pretty good. I have RE02's up front and all the sways back on the car so theres no more 7K launches but Im not really interested in breaking more parts so I'm joy riding and nothing more. Hard to compare fully

It's pretty sad that Summit and Jegs will have to keep taking these back because of balance issues. Mine were out of balance as well.
Who's working quality control at the end of the assembly line for MT these days? Bozo the clown or zippy the pinhead?
I guess I'll find out when I walk into the plant in Stow Ohio and see who's working in quality control.
