Little dent in deck of ls2 2 Attachment(s) So I bought a forged ls2 short block a while ago. I must of hit it with the handle of my vise . It's not very deep . Should I try to fill it ? Leave it? Do you think a mls gasket will seal it properly? |
take a flat file and knock down the high spots and it will be good to go. |
Just what I was hoping to hear lol. thanks |
It's ruined...I'll pick it up so you can can start again. Seriously just do what Stacy said. |
lay a gasket on there to be sure but yeah it looks like its outside the fire ring |
and if you file it, just draw file it |
WHY is this in Forced Induction?? |
Well because it's a boosted application and I fig I would get a better answer here . |
coz we build way more motors than the built NA motor nerds in the gen 3 internals section |
The one wont affect anything, ck the one close to the water jacket and see where the gasket seals. As said, knock down any high spots. I wouldn't be against a little JB Weld in the one close to the water jacket just to fill it. I have run some with pretty nasty decks and they sealed, lol. |
