Hey fellas, we getting a little off subject here. Let’s not ruin sir ddnspiders thread with 4l60 hate and arguments. One last thing tho. The 4l60 has its place. The th400 has its place. 4l60 does not belong in a 1200hp car. A th400 does. It belong in a car that is going to be driven everyday and sees highways duty. I wouldn’t do it, but I mean if you are a diehard type fella and don’t care about comfort, noise or gas mileage, then sure...it’s doable. Just not a sacrifice I’d make. I’d rather pull my 4l60 out every couple years and go through it. If it’s even that often I’d have to pull it out.
Trans discussion over. Carry on. Lol.

shout out to @soloman369 for hooking me up with that VSR billet 76/65. Hoping to get it this weekend and try swapping it in and see if my oiling issues are better. Also going to try the pan test and see how that pans out....pun intended.

Question....how do you know when youve had too many F-body's? When your build makes the home page....and they used a picture of a DIFFERENT build 🤣🤣 used my old procharged SS instead of the rear mount Z28.

Good looking ride it was. Do you plan to run the new car this winter?

Welp....pump is good. The pan test was easy. Let the turbo drain the pan directly and laid the return line from the scavenge pump in the pan and it had no issues sucking up the oil from the turbo besides oil I put in the pan so it wouldn't run dry.....Got to be the turbo right. Guess we'll see. New one comes early next week.
PS....also swapping out the check valve in the feed line. Watched a very slow drop from the feed line through the check valve with no turbo connected. Doesn't seem like it would cause it to pour out of the turbo, but at this point I'm game to try whatever to fix it.

Finally think I got the oil leak sorted. Faulty check valve it was like a capillary action deal after shutdown and would slowly fill the turbo and leaks out the seals. It was the FEED check valve, not the return check valve. New check valve and was able to put the pump and lines back how they were for the most part to hide them and get ground clearance back and no leaks after driving or while running. I think it's finally read for an injector swap and do some tuning
