Default Anyone read that article in HPP about the twin turbo

they talked on how the shope strobes built their 800rwhp twin turbo ls1.
if you look at the pictures you see its an incon kit, but they list that they make the intercoolers, and have fab up there own stainless? headers.

looked like a top of the line incon kit. they used a mechanical oil scavenger like Harlan did, and T-28's (do these make enough power to feed 800rwhp?)
siemen 57lb'ers, reprogramed with ls1edit and a c5r block with 6liter heads.

they mentioned the they would produce a "budget version" twin turbo kit for about 10grand

I read that article, and took it to mean that they would currently make stainless headers for a TT kit.

and yes, that car has at least parts of an incon kit. if I am not mistaken, that car was delivered to the customer 2 years ago. so the info on the story might be old as well.

I remember seeing a car that matched that description being delivered at the slp day
in OH, or was it IN. I forgot. It had a purple chamelion (sp) color paint job, and a 4l80 in it.

wait, may not be the car I'm thinking of, since the pics I have are from a car that doesn't have a mechanical scavange pump. Unless it was added later.
at the time, the shop owner was saying that it was the highest tq ls1 in the country.

if someone wants some pics of the car I am thinking it is, I can send them, just not post.

it had at least the butt pipe and cast headers from incon, probably the dumps too.
the intercoolers were said to be made by the shop, though they looked like incons, and the silicon tubing looked like incons but could have been made somewhere else.

I have been watching that car for a long time! I even called Strops speed shop and asked about there "twin turbo kit". They say it is their's b/c Incon is out of bussiness! The car if I remeber right was black and crashed in a freak rain storm the day it had a roll bar installed. So only the intercollers are made by they I think. Check the pics!http://www.stropespeedshop.com/die_hard_2.htm

On a Incon side note I know have fabed up down pipes out of 3" on my incon kit We will see if it makes any more power than cast ones!

That is a sweet looking ride, but it is hardly 'their' turbo system if it uses the exhaust manifolds and the butt pipe, hybrid, yes. nice engine.
