Default breaking in motor with turbo?

im about to start breaking in my 6.0 88mm turbo combo and was wondering if i can hurt my turbo doing this... im thinking about metal making its way to the turbo, but im under the impression that the turbo is being fed clean oil from my adapter port above the oil filter (factory cooler lines port)? also im using Brad penn break in oil... plan on running it about 60% or so for about 50 miles and dumping it, and moving on to some castrol GTX for the next 500- 1000 miles... any concerns?

There is usually a brass filter built into the oil inlet fitting, otherwise you can get one to protect your turbo.
Engine is fully roller so oil is really up to you.
Use the good stuff for break in, I use Chevron Delo 15-40, its cheap to change and works well in turbo applications.
I'd run it around on lower boost for bit, give everything time to wear in and seat then up the boost but that's just what I would do.

so you think there is a possibility for metal to make it passed the filter at that location? i was looking to drive it today... but if you think it may send some metal through the turbo then ill have to run a filter then...

If I'm reading the oil circuit diagram correctly then that port should be getting filtered oil.
It would make sense to filter the oil before sending it through the cooler as well.

I added a turbosmart oil filter anyways... Good insurance and underhood bling! Motor is all broken in and runs HARD!

If you're breaking in the engine, don't have the turbos hooked up. It'll run fine without them. That will let the rings seat, bearings square in, etc. Just need to plug off your oil feed and return.
No reason to be building boost on a fresh engine just for break in.

The rings aren't going to seat at idle. I'd hook up the turbos and seat it with load and boost. Break it in how it's going to live.

Last few I have been around and my own motor we usually go right to 20-30lbs of boost to break everything in.

2-3 heat cycles, dump oil. Pour in some fresh oil and send it.
