Three oil returns now on my pan Well some of you know that i was trying to move the oil return on my line kit. used to go on the front bottom of the pan. this caused bad draing, the fitting stuck up a 1/4 after it went into the pan, so it wasnt gong down any. so i am moveing it to the side allowing it to travel downward. well i went to go check out an autostore for brake Tees (getting rid of abs) i come back and the shop thats helping me, drilled the whole, we're about to put the fitting in and i say to him, thats a bit high. look at it and its at the same level it had been after the fittting rises the 1/4 out of the pan. he goes oh no ya it was suppose to be lower wasnt it so we had to drill and tap a hole below that. so now i have 3 holes in my oil pan. :( if he wasnt a friend of mine id make him buy me a canton pan. got to get plugs for them now. |

i had a bunch of holes from flying rods in my 92 stealth rt tt been there before. i think i used a .06-.07 nitrous jet (i will have to find it to get the exact size) but it cooked my bearings and i had to rebuild the turbo, id recomend NOT doing that. i talked to T-netics and they said they dont recomend a restrictor, that the oil pressure in our car is fine. the problem is the drain. taking the pan off it was evident on how the fitting stuck up above the pan so the drain was level with the turbo. moving it to the side will definalty help |
Yea I agree, the last thing i want to do is wreak my new turbo. if you could, post some pics up of your drain so we can kinda see how it's routed. Thanks. |
