You should talk to Pete Nichols at Circle D about whether the 245mm is right for your combo, he would steer you straight on that.

Circle D has been great to work with on my current combo.
Currently running their 245mm unit rated to 800hp but they told me they have many combos making more and working well.
We'll find out when I turn the wick up on this Betty lol.

I guess I should update this thread with the direction I went...
I sold the truck over a year ago now I guess.

Instead of going turbo, I found a used LSA supercharger with a 2.45 pulley and threw a stock lower on the engine. It's in a 75 camaro.
You know.. I really enjoy how it runs on the street. It makes a LOT of torque, even compared to the big block that was in there.
Originally I had a 4l80 with a 3200 stall that I just wasn't super impressed with. It worked.. but I just didn't like it. Not enough overdrive and a first gear that was looong. I went to the 8 speed and that wrapped this whole package up. Low first gear with a very good over drive.

I'm here again because I keep thinking about a turbo... I have still thought about going to a 7875 or s480. I go back and forth. I like the way the LSA drive. It feels great on the street, but I always wonder about a turbo. The only thing that makes me shy away from it is how this makes instantaneous power even if I'm not full throttle

LSA with an 8-speed auto is a match made in heaven if you ask me.
I love the Hellcats with their blowers and 8-speed autos because they just pull forever.
I'd leave it, I think a turbo would disappoint with an 8-speed but that's just me.

Talking to a buddy, I didn't think about porting the blower and throwing on a lower pully.. so that'll be my next step!
The car doesn't disappoint when I drive it and is dead simple to work on! I just want a tiny bit more!

Port the blower, pulley down, bolt on the biggest TB/Cold Air Intake you can afford and don't forget a nice choppy cam.
