Default Need suggestions for a cam with a Whippled 5.3

Just got my first dynojet runs and got a best of 358 RWHP and 447 TQ. That's nice and all, but I want MORE. Was thinking of doing a cam, but I would like to know if anyone that has FI has any pointers on what to look for regarding lift, duration, and LSAs for a blower. Also, at what point (I guess at what lift) should I consider getting new springs and retainers? Any help?

For a truck i would go with a 206/216 or 212/220 max with .550 .560 114-115LSA. There are good ready cams u can go with such as the LPE GT3 or GT2 which comes with 117-118LSA. U dont want to go larger than that because it will affect ur power down low unless u want to drag race with the truck. If u want a better topend cam go with a 220/228 or 224/230 .580 .590 on 114LSA. Good luck.

The rule to follow is to have 4-6 degrees of lobe seperation I used an off the self Comp cam 54-412-11 for my Whippled 5.3 212/522 218/529 114 At idle you could barely hear it but it was a good cam. Just depends on what you are tring to do etc... Just pick one with 4-6 degrees of seperation and on a 114 or higher LSA.
