Why isn't a Boost-A-Pump or MSD more popular here? I never see too many here at LS1Tech FI using the KB BAP much. Any reason? Having good results with it and a Racetronix setup. Maybe 650rwhp with this setup? |
Not sure, I know a lot of Mustang guys use it and there are some LS1 Vette guys that us it also. I planned on looking into it when I do my Racetronix pump in my truck. If anything it will limit the likelyhood of dropping voltage when under WOT with music turned up. LOL |
I had one but went with two pumps eventually. It did work well tho |

Looks like my 42# SVO's could support up to 675rwhp with this setup. Only a small percentage of HP car owners are active and / or post on the forums. |
What do you suppose a single intank walbro, stock fuel lines/rails, BAP and 42lb injectors will support? - Dug |

What is a safe real world BSFC estimate for a SC Motor? Is lower or higher BSFC better? Which uses more again? Say .55 vs. .65 BSFC? Thx. |
Higher BSFC will mean bigger injector for a given HP #. I think people usually use .55 for FI but some people may vary that a bit. i guess depending on how much of a cushion you want, but you could try to do that with duty cycle also. I'm not a injector guru so maybe someone else could tell ya more or correct me :) |
I ussually have problems with 42's after 550rwhp on FI cars. We run the Kenne Bell boost a pump on 2 cars with great results. |
Ran out of injector with the 42# SVO's today around 575rwhp @ 5500. Swapping out to 60# Mototrons. Racetronix + BAP still holding good so far. |

A very popular injector. |
What is the Racetronix Single Pump Flow Rating again? (for running calculations). How would the flow numbers look with the BAP running? Thanks! |

Thanks! http://www.racetronix.com/RX-F99-FPKG-2.html Depending on the BAP voltage you can add 20-25% to the rating. Keep in mind this is on a test fixture and does not factor in the car's plumbing restrictions. This is why we quote apx. HP support #'s. |

So does this suggest it can be had for less $$$ ? If so, who carries your product? Is your pump just an anodized Walbro or is it actually a different (read: better) pump? Thanks! SC- |

Mello . . . so you're saying you ran out of pump @ 575 WITH or WITHOUT the BAP? If with, then you only gained 25rwhp by using it?? - Dug |
