I love how all the internet haters never have anything to run but their mouth. If someone puts the time and effort (not to mention $$$) into running that fast, I applaud them for at least trying and pushing the envelope. If it wasn't for people trying something a little extreme, we'd all still be running g-trim blowers, 150-shot wet kits or ported LSx heads and thinking turbos were "voodoo".
Fast cars NEVER run their *** off right away. It takes time to tune and work the bugs out of the setup and the suspension. People who've put their time into making something like that will know what i mean.

All in all it was a great weekend. I talked with the crews/owners of almost all of the cars there and EVERYONE was personable and friendly. THAT'S what this was about. Awesome numbers you guys, keep up the good work and I'll see you all again next year!

Of all the numbers from this past weekend, I think that 1.18 is the most amazing. I never EVER thought I'd see a sub 1.2 short time on our style of suspension.

1.18 with what power adder?? If its a turbo car, i dont think its possible... the downpipe plays havock with the timing lights all the time (exhaust blows and creates problems, this was apparent by the .88 60ft from another turbo car earlier in the weekend).... ive seen this in NMRA 10x... not trying to start anything..

When Steve went 1.18 I tree'd him by at least .2 and he was already ahead 40 feet out.

Like i said, i am not about to get into an internet arguement.... I will let you ponder this tho.. NMRA Outlaw turbo cars will 60ft between 1.24-1.30 and run 7.70s all day long... This is with enuf power to run 183mph at 3250lbs... My buddies FFW outlaw turbo car goes 7.30s and has a best 60ft of 1.19... I believe Dan Millens car goes 1.18-1.23 60ft and he has gone 7.1x @ hi 190s.. I believe you know him personally so you can call him and ask (ladder bar, 31x10.5w with about 1900hp)..
another thing to ponder is "back tire" 60fts.... the 60ft clock is typically off the ground about 8-10inchs... this means if you have a decent wheelstand, the center of the car (under door) will click the 60ft clocks... i have dragged the bumper many times too so I understand..
there is a huge difference between 1.30 and 1.26 and even a larger difference going into the teens with a 60ft... you can believe anything you want but like i said, the turbo exhaust messes with the clocks all the time.. ive seen it time and time again..
if he did go a legit 1.18 60ft, he was on a pass to go low 7s...
BTW, good job on your 8.29 pass

turbo cars dont boogie until the 2nd 1/8th.... its typical...
NOS cars usually get it done in the first half too..
also, a little bit of a weight difference in the 2 cars too.. its a LOT easier to get a light car to move then a heavy car..
