If the 72cc come out I will be. I need that thick deck so I can run crazy boost and timing

Were looking to get a set this winter but it will be several months though, if we can afford it :eyes: . We have plenty of plans for the motor to make more steam for next year, im sure you can probably figure out most of the mods on your own. Next year in pro outlaw if you cant go 7's you better run mod. street power adder or stay home  Oh yea and harlan dont think your record is safe for the winter, were fixing the tranny as we speak and plan on hitting a track down south in a week or so! Will update as needed :) Steve

Unless we wanted to go for the record of longest burnout. We won't be running at E-water again. :judge:

y2khawk Nov 11, 2004 07:26 PM

The question is do I want to ;)

I'm not real keen on driving over my own oil at 170 :barf:

Are you going to check your stock crank for cracks when you take out Harlan? It might be interesting to see what has happened to it over time.

MIGHTYMOUSE Nov 11, 2004 09:33 PM

Slowhawk Nov 11, 2004 09:35 PM

I'm in the process of building a Procharged Vette with AFR's.Will be alittle while before results though.

Happy with my 205's. Have held up to single walbro + BAP fuel problems and detonation/minor lifting a couple times. Converting to a dual pump setup now that I've identified the issue. It's harder to run duals in a C5 and/or fewer people have done it.

I should have 640-650rwhp with my final tune when the pumps are installed.

TEA has a custom 235cc AFR available with possible custom chamber size right now.

I am NOT changing heads but am curious if anyone has dynoed the change and made the same power with less boost or has any other information to share.

Going from 300cfm heads to 330cfm heads could be (I hear) good for over 50-60hp...

Tiago Nov 12, 2004 12:26 PM

when I swap heads next year I plan on going with AFRs, with the large CC.

MelloYellow Nov 12, 2004 11:29 PM

I made similar power with the S-Trim and the AFR 205's vs. Patriot Stage 2's. Rough feel was more low/mid-range TQ with the AFR's. 20rwhp difference would be pushing it, if even on the top end.. All said and done I'm happy to have the Patriots off and the AFR's on.

My Patriot's had issues so I grabbed the best set of heads available at the time right when the AFR 205's first came out.
