and I thought my 60ft was bad without a burnout :eek2:

NumberOneSled Feb 7, 2005 09:51 AM

Nice mph!

abadss Feb 7, 2005 09:52 AM

good #'s for a stock motor and 5psi. need to work on the driving though... the mph looks good :drive:

longdaddy Feb 7, 2005 10:01 AM

did you spin on launch or these 60' times are expected with rear turbo setup?I am thinking really seriously about getting one this summer.

Just re-read your message - untuned, stock fuel system?! :eek2:

do you feel safe about your setup?

The MPH is great :)

Now work on the getting the 60' down and you'll be set.

Don't sweat it though. There was aProcharged car at the track this weekend that put down 540rwhp? on the dyno buy the guy couldn't pull better than 120mph either and he was running 2.3-2.5 60's all day and 12.5s :)

Mike 01WS6 Feb 7, 2005 11:25 AM

That is an excellent time considering your 60', and that your car is untuned and on the stock fuel system. I'd address those issues though, and make your car really fly.

Zombie Feb 7, 2005 11:54 AM

please tune it before you kill it. Every STS setup I have seen will detonate really bad on a stock fuel system and untuned car. The stock program has WAY too much timing unless you are running high octane like 110.

FormulaFire Feb 7, 2005 12:12 PM

And everyone doubts the STS kits. Good time and mph and way more potential.

Dont forget to mention it was his first time ever going to the track... remember his first staging? Back, forth, back, forth... etc.

That was my point foo! Just cuz you have power doesn't mean it will always translate into a good ET/MPH... I couldn't believe some of the guys out there. That one guy actually did his brunout IN the water box.. :jest:

Z06PSI Feb 7, 2005 01:37 PM

I am gonna see how far the STS kit will go before I go twin t-60's. 15psi with a 348 c.i. with a complete strip setup weighing in at 3100lbs.

you do realize that turbo lag has nothing to do with his 2.4 60' don't you?

FormulaFire Feb 7, 2005 03:38 PM

you mean you don't burnout in the water box?? HAHA

FormulaFire Feb 7, 2005 03:39 PM

and the 2.4 60' has nothing to do with turbo lag. You can run a better 60' on a stock LS1.

FormulaFire Feb 7, 2005 03:42 PM

With a good tune and intercooler I could see High 11's maybe.. not to even mention uping the boost, and upgrading fuel system.

Richiec77 Feb 7, 2005 03:46 PM

Man you should see 11's. Tune it and work on launching it should see 11.8's at least.

Malicious Feb 7, 2005 04:33 PM

Yeah definitely. Get those 60's down lol :D
