Low CR guys . . . what is your timing before boost hits?

Low CR guys . . . what is your timing before boost hits? Just wondering what kind of timing up until boost hits. Even the stock Incon setup used factory timing @ 5psi . . . so why can't I run high timing until I see 5psi +?
