"Where's your trailer?"

Don't you love it when the Mustang guys ask you that about the car you just drove to the track...swapped tires...ran...and drove home?! At least the Mustang sounded good going down the track....couldnt hear mine.

Dont shoot the camera girl....she is learning :)

Nice job :) Did the camera girl do the custom body work on the rear quarter and door as well :jest:

Great run! :drive:

Gotta love it when you drive your car in and beat others that were trailered. :)

Occasionally I get the Mustang drivers that walk up to my '94 after a pass and ask how much I sprayed that run. Answer: "I didn't. I'm getting ready to bracket race tonight, see the empty bottle bracket behind the seat?"

No but she did go with me to Missouri to pick it up!! I'dd get it painted but that would just add weight and slow me down!!!! I am trying to catch Mike Browns Incon record.....I am running his old cam and shortblock! :) Now all I need is his t-braked t-400 and lose some weight

I actually wanted to see what 2 of the nice stangs there ran as they looked good. I ended up only getting to see them in the rear view mirror. We had a great time last night...went with some friends who are all happy to see anybody improve. We figure if we run and can all still drive the vehicles home. its a good night!!

Pump gas + meth?

sb427f-car May 14, 2005 05:12 PM

Nice run. What's the camera? Definately needed to set that thing on apature priority, that woulda probably helped with the auto focus a bit, considering it was pretty poor light conditions.

Caveman May 14, 2005 05:58 PM

Seeing that you live in GA you should check into this Pontiac shootout on July13, your car would possibly make 6 FI Firebirds. That will make a pretty cool magazine article :)

cablebandit May 14, 2005 06:47 PM

yes John 93 + meth!
the camera is a new panasonic but i just had it on auto...didnt realize how hard of a time she had with it till we got home...picked a different setting down in the menus and it was fine.
Yeah it's close but I am mainly happy that everything "worked" like it was supposed to. No problems is the kind of night I like regardless of ETs. It is funny though...on my laptop when I am tuning at the track, everyone sees my background which is Mike Browns CE totin' the tires!!

onfire May 14, 2005 08:30 PM

I call bs.........your car can't be that fast...too quiet..... :jest: :jest: :jest: :jest:

PS: did the 3.73 help the 60 ?

cablebandit May 14, 2005 08:38 PM

I think about it now and yes prolly so. It is 60'ing better 2stepping at 2500rpms now than it did 2stepping at 2800 rpms with the 3.23 gear. I'll try 2800 next time since I just got my brakes bled so it will hold on the line

onfire May 14, 2005 09:13 PM

A little tweaking and you're in the 9's with a true street car.

quicksilverado May 14, 2005 09:31 PM

I guess were gonna have to do little weight reduction and get you into the single digit club.

MIGHTYMOUSE May 15, 2005 10:20 AM

good job man.

i wouldnt press your luck too much braggin about the stock rear thing.. will only bring trouble with it :)

cablebandit May 15, 2005 10:24 AM

lol...David you are right!!

Mike 01WS6 May 15, 2005 04:06 PM

You could cut weight just by changing your stock 10 bolt to an aluminum Fab 9". There's your weight reduction right there, and it'll be rock solid.

Great job, 10.teens is hauling ass in a true street car.

smokinHawk May 15, 2005 05:40 PM

9s are just around the corner for you!
good going!
