Dynedta has it pegged, its my minibike idling through a long piece of 4 inch exhaust

Vid works? It works on both of my computers? I told you guys my Imovie program was being whacky I'll see what I can to fix it. It should open in quicktime as thats what its made for?

Played fine on the Mac, but the PC wouldn't play it.. Nice vid, worried about that alternator moving around? I can build you a bracket like Tiff's after power tour if you need it.

Hey Jer, put the vid up as an avi. file. We Mac people cant see your beast. When will Frank have those other brackets for you to support the alternator?

I haven't seen the vid but I personally didn't feel very comfortable with just the single piece of the original bracket. After seeing how much deflection there was with the aluminum one I knew it was going to be an issue.

I made some extra braces for the alternator bracket to "box" it it. It should help eliminate, or close to it, any flex.

yeah, the problem is "us" damn mac users are so advanced, the poor windoze guys can't keep up

Not so worried about the alt bracket as I still have to add the supports to it. Just to think this SS bracket is a lot stronger than the aluminum one I got sent..I could twist that in my hands

Glad sscam68 thought to add the brackets for support tho, thanks for the offer Brian...I'll pm you if this one is still having issues.

Eric, looks like my car is almost ready to give up the ol concrete pad...NOT! Still have do the exhaust....it'd get done faster if I had another set of hands helping me out *hint* *hint* Dad can't keep crawling around on the ground you know..his hip is killin him.

Here is a .mP4 file, was going to save it as .avi file but the quality sucks for the size of the file.
http://home.comcast.net/~jsbird1998/turbostartup.mp4

Try that, if it doesn't work...i'll put up the .avi

Yeah the alternator was noisy for awhile, it has quieted down though. I guess it was from sitting for so long. I blew all the dust out with compressed air and put some graphite around the shaft of the pulley as it was making a loud squealing noise. On start up it was making that sound and eventually it went away? Maybe its time for a new one.

Is the vid working for yous guys? I'll host the .avi file now.
