Don't Click!

I told you not to click...

This is just a post of sadness: Waiting for my turbo kit...

What are some you in my position doing to pass the time?

I sleep at night to daydreams of what my car will be like, people I would show it to, cars I would call out, my first BOV salute, how I would drive it home from the installer, where I'd take it the first night...

I'm fucking losing it :eek2:

Oh well, yes bartender, I'll have one more tonight, one for my turbo... I hope we will soon be joined... :chug:

DAPSUPRSLO Jun 6, 2005 12:23 PM

Ha ha, I find myself looking at videos alot to pass the time. Look at it this way. Atleast you guys are waiting for the completion of your cars. I'm just waiting for the parts and then I'll probably run into an issue or two when installing it myself which will take even longer. Patience my friends patience.

bboyferal Jun 6, 2005 01:07 PM

No, no! I am still waiting for the actual kit! Then, of course, comes chapter two of the waiting story... Install! Oh, man... WTF, it's tearing me into halves!

 "It's okay, son. You will get the turbo soon. You'll see..."

Versus

 "Ha, you still don't have it? You sorry POS! Oh, wait! Is that the doorbell? Maybe it's UPS... Oops! I was kidding you no-turbo loser!"

Winner for today:  "HA"

you dont know how many times i would fall asleep and dream about what my car would sound like under full boost... :drive:

its soooo gonna be worth the year wait(assuming it gets done soon). cant....wait....much....longer. :bang:

BAT TA Jun 6, 2005 05:12 PM

I feel your pain man, i'm in the same situation. I can't wait to get my kit and install it and then go out and flat out embarrass some people. :drive:

frcefed98 Jun 6, 2005 05:30 PM

ahhh, but once you turn that key and go for your first spin you'll forget the wait. I know I did. I've been cruising and trying to tune my turbo set up now for the past week....had to call in someone with greater knowledge than mine tho:D

I feel for you guys, and yes I know the wait for the damn UPS man....he makes my house the last stop:bang: I probably get more deliveries than half the businesses around my house and that punk still comes to my house last:lol:
J:burn:

half-n-half Jun 6, 2005 07:07 PM

...ok it could be worse...like me:D

i still have to wait for the money, to order the parts, to wait to get the parts, to wait to install the parts at the right time, to wait to tune the car before driving it boosted...

i just try to not think about it...

hey, cool man, thanks ;)

my dad called futral last week and he told him to call back in a couple weeks, so it seems like its just taking forever. i know he has a lot of other projects there, but i would have hoped that my car would be priority since it was supposed to be done early late february/early march.

i dont mind being patient, but i guess you can only take so much before you start to get inpatient and anxious. i hope the car is still there :jest:

i bet its already put together, hes just using it for cruises to the local supermarket :drive:

but, i know they say good things come to those who wait. i just wonder how long these people waited?

i feel like moses, walking through the desert for 40 years, cept im in need of a turbo 408, not water :jest:

2000 Trans Zam...WTF have they been doing for a year?!!

Jammer Jun 6, 2005 07:59 PM

I know well what your going through... unfortunately it all to often ends with a whimper...and we pay so dearly to get just what you dream. Some get lucky..and i hope you do too.

i have no clue, piecing it together i guess? ask Futral :jest:

ive been kind of a pain, but ive been patient as well.

Racehead Jun 6, 2005 08:41 PM

I can't imagine waiting for a year for my car no matter what the hell they were doing ? There's no way it should take even half that long IMO.

ddnspider Jun 6, 2005 09:13 PM

damn right, and how much are you paying them if you dont mind me asking?

Mike 01WS6 Jun 7, 2005 01:56 AM

This is an evil thing to say  ......but I think I'm going to go out and drive my turbo beast right now.

Sorry, I saw an opportunity and I HAD to take it....lol

I hope you get your shit together soon man. I know what the wait is like. It's all you can do to hold back from making screaming engine sounds, and turbo 'whoooshes' in your office at work while people come in to see what the hell you are doing. :)

lets just say its more then double of what the car is worth. that includes the turbo kit, the motor, the rear, fuel, labor, etc...

slow3hoe2 Jun 7, 2005 03:02 PM

this thread made me realize how lazy i am. my turbo kit has been sitting in my basement for 2 months and i still havent put it on. mosly due to racing my mustang...but still...

back in the day i would have started installing the DAY the ups guy dropped the stuff off :)
