10's Finally! I ran 11.07 last week when it was hot (mid 80's). Today it was low 70's so I thought I had a chance. 1st pass spun bad but was a new best for MPH. 11.61@128.71 (60' 2.11) My pit crew then arrived, Mark (BLWNTA) & Jim. The way the vortech tubing is up top makes it easy to ice down. We put 6 bags of ice on the tubing. The next pass was another best for MPH. 11.11@128.88 (60' 1.86) Mark suggested putting ice in the meth bottle and I got the best pass of the day. 1.81 60' 7.156@101.82 1/8th 10.97@129.88 1/4 A new best E.T. & MPH. Backed it up with a 10.99@127.11. I'm glad that ole monkey is off my back. Now when people ask what it runs I can say it runs 10's. This was with the stock WS6 wheels and M/T drag radials. |
Congrats on the new best, got to love those MT dragradials. |

Austin Coil chiming in :jest: .....we didn't get a good vid of the pass I was too busy getting Tom a good burnout, etc. Everytime I got the camera up to do it the tree already fell. They move people pretty fast during that T&T which is a good/bad thing. Yea, the Iced/Meth is a Mike "the Mad Scientist" Brown thing...not sure how much it really helps, but when you running low 11's you start trying anything you can think of. We also dropped his tire pressure 1 lb which trimmed a half of a tenth on the 60 so that likely was was the determining factor from his low eleven runs. Tom's car probably weighs around 3800 lbs even with the few basic weight mods he did before he got to the track. I wish I could have been in the car for that pass, but from the outside it was very cool. The car is a total sleeper, stock appearance, vert, etc. Then it screams off the line and then tries to wrinkle the pavement when it shifts :drive: to second. Great job Tom! For those of you who don't know.... Tom and I will hopefully be playing in Pro Modified (aka Outlaw) within a year or so. We are about 20% complete with a car we are partnered on. We both have show cars that are fast but not weekend track cars. Hopefully we will be getting our racing fix  and be representing Ohio in 2007. Mark |

It looks like you might jump straight to the nines. nines might be two years from now. though tens at 145mph might be nice :jest: eager to see your guys race car when it gets done, just dont take as long on it as it is taking me to finish mine. |
Im not looking forward to wiring that MS in, but it will be worth it so i can run my big ole injectors |
