Default Guess what I did today. (a few hints inside)

I finally put some of my stage II ATI/GWP stuff on today. Here are a few hints as to what part it was.

Hint1

Hint2

I put the programming that comes with the stage II stuff in also and it looks like I got around 7-9 degrees more timing for a total of 27*. I'm not sure this is going to be good with the 8# pulley but we'll see. The O2's are in the .990 range.

What A/F ratio would .990 correlate to on a wideband? I know its not specific but a round about figure will do.

Probably 10:1 or richer I would say. My 02's were reading about .950 and that was 11:1 on the dyno.

We both know how wildly different the 02's read but I bet its a pretty safe guestimation your running 10:1 or richer

Certainly not lean thats for sure

.990 is VERY rich.

My A/F ratio was off the scale below the 10:1 point when I was running .960-.980s.

I don't understand your timing thing, though.

My timing is between 19 and 21 at WOT.

Mike

Well I took the car back out this evening and the O2's seem to have come down into the .945-.950 range. The only problem is as boost builds they start to drop off down to around .900 or so. I'm going to talk to Jason and see if the program can be modified to start adding more fuel at a certain rpm to compensate for the fp dropping because of the boost. I may just get a boost referenced regulator and take care of it that way but I would like to try it with programming first.

My programmer came from TTS. Jason said he was going to try them because SC was taking too long to get there programmers out. I can vouch for that. I'm definately going to get TTS to lower the timing a bit. I don't want to sacrifice reliability for all out power.

I haven't hooked up the big Aeromotive fuel pump yet and I haven't got the pulley yet so basically I'm still running a stage I kit. I guess it'll do for now.

Thanks for the info.

Talk to ya later.

Johnnie

Say... are those lightning injectors?

Keep me updated man. Once I get my **** we'll have to meet at Cecil or something if it's not to far for you. Maybe next season when the drivetrain is done.

Ha-Ha...I'll admit it. I have FORD parts on my car.

Cecil shouldn't be too far. I think I should still get around 22+ mpg when I'm done with the car.

Talk to ya.

Johnnie,

Since you're running rich, sound like you could handle some more boost.

How do you adjust the lean/rich???

There is no more MAF when you install the procharger right??

How do you lean it out if its soo rich??

The MAF doesn't go anywhere when you install the Procharger.

If you have the stage I kit you can use the FMU to lean it out if it is running rich. If you have the stage II kit with bigger injectors and programming you can use a MAFT for adjustments.

Its actually only a little rich in the midrange. Since I don't have the huge pump or a boost regulated fuel pressure regulator on the car my fp drops at higher rpms and it starts to lean out a little. I'll be taking care of that very soon.

Dave

I can't take any pictures of my car while it is so freaking dirty. I don't want to break my nice camera.
