Thinking about buying one for my Hugger car. Whats the normal boost level on a G-Trim. The guy told me it was 9lbs. Seemed high to me, will that be ok on a stock block?
Thanks in a advance =)

For an SS yes you would have to notch out the hood.
your kit can make 9 lbs at probably 6500 or so but i wouldn't run it up there without valvesprings.
As long as your fuel tune is right your stock block should take it.

Boost is a measurement of restriction. If you have head or a cam less restriction so you will see less boost on the gauge, but you are still moving the same amount of air just more efficiently etc... that is why it will depend on what you have done to your car. 100% stock yeah @8-9 lbs. Hope I gave you a little more info.

Why not go with an ATI ProCharger D-1SC? You will be able to make plenty of boost, you don't have to cut the hood, the weight of the added parts sits lower in the car for a lower center of gravity, and you don't have to poke a hole into the oil pan to run a oil return line.
I have plenty of ATI equipped cars in my project car section of my website. Bob

cool, I saw your car at Fbody Gathering a couple years ago. Sweet ride man. I may go to it this year, if I have time. I may get this kit and put it on. I just hate to cut the hood on this car. Is there any way the aftercooler can be modified so you don't have to cut the hood?
