Default More Twin Turbo LT1 Pictures for your viewing pleasure.

I've got the system mocked up in the chassis now, everything fits! I'll be tearing it down this weekend and sending a bunch of stuff to Jet-Hot. I hope to be doing a final install in a couple weeks. Then all I'll need to complete the project is the fuel system..

I'm looking forward to the Power Tour, Harlan; we could have alotta fun!

It's looking really good so far. I'm looking forward to seeing it in person at the Power Tour, too. I'm sure Matt won't the only turbocharged small block there, although he's certainly got me covered for power.

Two things:

1) You are a better man than I, that SOB's gonna be a knucklebuster! How's plug access?

2) I never realized it's possible to pull a motor without a lift! I bet that was a PITA, did you have the K member bolted to the floor jack some how? I'm beginning to fell ballsy! I always thought I'd have to get someone else to do my motor if the time comes but you proved me wrong! Tell me about how that went, I assupme you've done it with a stock K member and NA motor before?

What is your motor combo? What turbos and how much boost?

Thanks!

Rock; I dropped the motor out with a cherry picker. I just sat it down on 2 floor jacks and rolled it out from under the car.. By myself.. Help would have made it easier

Chris Pippy! Damn man, an old timer Shucks, I remember when you bolted that Procharger on your '95 Z28.. How times have changed..

Anyhoo, I've got a 355" LT1 (forged/splayed/etc.) 9.1:1 static compression. LT1 heads (GTP ported) basically a pretty mild setup, cam is 224/236 .536/.555 on 114 LS (hyd roller)..

The turbos are TE-60's (good for 1200ish HP)
Boost: As much as I want

I've got 3" pipes fabricated for air intake, the filters will be in front of the front tires (where twin intercoolers usually reside). The 3" pipes are heavy! I'm thinking about using the 3-1/2" ATI "dryer hose" as air intakes. I know it collapses some in the blower apps, but I have two turbos so each hose will only have to flow half the amount of air.. I'm not certain which way I'll end up going yet..

I dropped a bunch of stuff off at Jet-Hot today to get coated.. I'll be stylin

thanks again for the compliments

Yeah, alot has changed since last year... except my odometer

My car has NEVER moved since TA Jack dropped it off after I shelled the tranny in Chicago last year on the Power Tour... God I'm lazy...

I found the miss though, remember we stopped at some rest stop and Harlan put the Tech II on the car?.... Turns out I collapsed a lifter.. (it was a "good" Comp Cams lifter too, oh well)

You coming out for the Power Tour again this year?

That looks awesome!

What are you doing about cooling? The intercooler looks like it will block your rad pretty good.

Is this the TT kit for the LT1 that is planned for sale or are you just doing this for yourself?

Well at least it wasn't anything major with the lifter

I would love to go back on tour again, but with the baby it may be a problem. If not this year next year he shouldn't have any problems traveling.

Aren't you worried about the possibility of the coating flaking off of the interior and damaging the turbine baldes ???? Maybe just get the outside coated....

Eric, the cooling should function pretty well. The intercooler doesn't block the air flow path, the flow path is still very close to the stock configuration. I went !A/C, so that should help some too.. Time will tell, I'm prepared to get a Be Cool radiator if necessary.
My kit is based on the twin kit that will be available shortly. I bought alot of my own stuff though.. Waylon did build the headers, the turbos are from John Craig (Limit Engineering).

Mike, nothing upstream of the turbos is coated on the inside, you're correct, you don't want to chance anything.

BlackHawk, come out if you get a chance, it should be fun.

Brady,
Those good old days with the 95 Z-28!
I still miss that car it was a blast

I can't wait to hear how your combo works out, I think the lighter intake tubing will work great in your application. Can you fit a 9x6x4 inch outlet conical K&N in each wheelwell area? That would flow some serious air!
you have a great setup cooking there, what are you doing for fuel and injectors/tuning etc?
Best of luck,
Chris
