Procharger Simulation Can I copy the the performance of ATI's Procharger using T-76 turbo kit from Turbo Tech with a high volume fuel pump and a Super FMU from Vortech using only 4 to 5psi of boost to start? After I get my laptop and LS1-Edit, I will do more. That is why I like turbos. All you have to do is crank up the boost to get alittle more power without killing fuel mileage. |
Re: Procharger Simulation WHY COPY ATI'S PERFORMANCE WHEN YOU CAN COPY A TURBO SET UP PERFORMANCE. YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO DO THAT. iD THINK ABOUT ROBS KIT, IT SOUNDS LIKE IT WILL BE MORE EFFICIANT THEN TURBO TECHS. WITH A T-76 YOU SHOULD BE PUSHING CLSE TO 500 RWHP!!! |
Re: Procharger Simulation My question is to start my turbo setup with a fuel system that resembles ATI bolt-on system. Who is ROB and what kit are you referring to? |
Re: Procharger Simulation He's referring to the kit Rob Raymer at LS1 Motorsports is developing. His kit is supposed to deliver promising results, and should be out by summer. |
Re: Procharger Simulation Can you say 500rwh cha-ching <img src="graemlins/burnout.gif" border="0" alt="[Burnout]" /> |
Re: Procharger Simulation Turbo Tech got 480RWHP out of their Trans Am. Besides installing the T-76, what other mods did they do to the engine? |
Re: Procharger Simulation I talked to George at turbotech and he said the 480 was made at 9psi on 100 octane on a stock motor and stock programming. I dont see how thats possible. my opinion...and its just that....an opinion, is that you will probably need 8 psi of boost on 100 octane with a perfect timing curve and a/f ratio to get 500 rwhp. I dont see this being done thru a catback either. I'm just using my own experiences so dont take this as gospel. If you expand the size of the crossover piping and the downpipe, who knows whats possible. |
Re: Procharger Simulation What abput his fuel system? What mods did he have there? |
