Re: CARTEK OR MCLEOD CLUTCH I've had very good experiences w/ a RAM 402 pressure plate, and 6130 disc. Stock flywheel, stock slave, and modded master for adjustable rod. Can't beat the price either, $350 for the disc and plate, $40 to have the local parts/machine shop resurface the flywheel |
Re: CARTEK OR MCLEOD CLUTCH by accident I have both so which would you use thanks |
Re: CARTEK OR MCLEOD CLUTCH if you have both already then i'd use the cartek...otherwise get the RAM 403/6130 |
Re: CARTEK OR MCLEOD CLUTCH I have always had good luck w/ Mcleod products. What Mcleod clutch do you have? |
Re: CARTEK OR MCLEOD CLUTCH the part # is 37-64050-07 dual disk with master cyl. btw cablebandit jr looked petty good today not bad getting 2 |
Re: CARTEK OR MCLEOD CLUTCH You shoulda heard JR on the scanner..he was really funny at times. I got a good sunburn...seems the Budweiser impaired my judgement to use sun block |
Re: CARTEK OR MCLEOD CLUTCH where can i get the ram clutch for that price? |
Re: CARTEK OR MCLEOD CLUTCH The Mcloed. never heard of one fail on a LS1 yet. Mark Smokeur50 drumps on it at roughly 6300 RPM's with his 12 bolt and slicks. I wish I had the money for one. |
Re: CARTEK OR MCLEOD CLUTCH thats the one I am going to use thanks for the help |
Re: CARTEK OR MCLEOD CLUTCH Ram 402/6130. Cheap and holds me at 6600 rpm dumps All for 320 bucks from Summit Mark [ March 14, 2002, 02:57 PM: Message edited by: 1madss ] |

I remember jMx going through LOTS of issues with these clutches among MANY MANY other users who have used those clutches. Supposedly they have them working well now. RAM is the most proven out of all of the clutches to date. |
