How many of yall are still using your stock longblocks with the ATI supercharger??? How many??? |
Re: How many of yall are still using your stock longblocks with the ATI supercharger??? I have been. It was good for a 10.98 at 126 MPH. But, I'm hungry. I decided to do a heads/cam and got greedy and went for a 383 build-up. Oh, well... |
Re: How many of yall are still using your stock longblocks with the ATI supercharger??? How much boost were you running??? Do you mind if I ask you if you had any problems engine wise for you to go ahead and do a build up or just wanted to go faster??? I am asking this questions because I think I want to get the engine I have now freshened up and put some heads and a cam on it and the ATI supercharger. I wanted to go ahead and get the supercharger first though and get the car back on the road... Thank for any advice you can offer... |
Re: How many of yall are still using your stock longblocks with the ATI supercharger??? I became concerned that the level of boost I was running may blow a head gasket, and I am not willing to decrease my power. I want the same or better power, but more safely. Maybe a little lower boost, but bigger cubes with heads/cam should do rather nicely. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" /> |
Re: How many of yall are still using your stock longblocks with the ATI supercharger??? I have run as much as 12 PSI, until I was able to lower that, yet increase the power, with some MAC headers and y-pipe. I now run 9.5 to 10 PSI if I keep the RPMs down below 6400. |
Re: How many of yall are still using your stock longblocks with the ATI supercharger??? I only have about 2500 miles on my motor with the P1SC compressor. No track times until I get a rear, no dyno numbers till I get ls1 edit. However I have discovered that the car needs at least 96 octane or so with GWP programming or else I get about 3 deg of KR upstairs. And there was a BIG difference the first time I put 100 octane in the car. Now I'm experimenting to see what kind of KR I get with 94 octane, but I have to flush out all that race gas first. The ultimate goal for me is to get the parts I need to get the car reliably fast, I don't have a specific ET goal but I need to be somewhere in the 11s to be happy with all this money I'm spending. |
