Default SLP Engineering OE airbox lid for all f-cars

this might be of interest to you forced induction folks, as this lid should be a direct bolton for you.

This came up over the weekend at SLP day.

SLP Engineering developed an OE airbox lid for their 2002 cars (SS and Firehawk). Currently, it is only available to SLP car owners. SLP Engineering is considering making the lid available to all LS1 f-car owners.

This is the lid GM should have put on our cars as OE. SLP Engineering stepped up and did it instead. You get the best of both worlds, a free flowing lid that is considered OE by GM. No worries about swapping lids if you have to go in for service.

The SLP Engineering lid is constructed of the same material as the stock lid (considerably stronger than aftermarket lids). All hoses and fittings meet the stock fittings in the exact location. No need for a small K&N or stretching the airpump hose on 2000 and up cars. There would also be a version with no hose for 98 and 99 f-cars. The kit comes with a Donaldson filter that was tested and verified to flow better than a K&N filter.

If any non-SS/Firehawk owners are interested in this, please respond here.
